Tours de France, not Tour des Frances. It's multiple tours of one France, not a tour of multiple Frances.

The Overland is not stop 100% full concentration. Either your climbing 8-15% climbs, descending 40mph on dirt to a 90° turn, to class IV "why am I not on a hard tail," it's relentless.

Great video, but one small correction: It was 5 Cambridge guys, and just 1 from Oxford.

How does the Oxford Land Rover compare to the Willy's jeep? Are they of a similar age?

St Helena in itself is a statement. The Brits exiled Napoleon there after his defeat at Waterloo for the remainder of his life due to its remoteness.

Great spirit of adventure. Last weekend, a group of overlanders came through my little Alaskan town for their event, The Alcan 5000, including a couple new Landys. I met them for dinner with my old Series 2a, and we had a grand time- instant friends.

At a minimum studded 35mm+ tires are what needed. 40s or more (or a fat bike) would be ideal. Still enjoyed the video.

Excellent editing. That ride was difficult enough, never mind the extra effort you put in filming. Great job!

Great video, I have the book and autographs of 5 of the overland crew plus a letter from the Singapore Rover Dealer regarding the arrival of the expedition. I have had 3 Land Rovers, 2 series 1 and 1 series 2, wish I still had them.

Learnt to drive in a series 1 80" can still remember the clunk of the door handles and that noise the clutch pedal makes when released

Excellent video. Just perfect. It’s true, vintage vehicles aren’t as reliable and easy to drive but you explained it very succinctly. Tons of character and an experience you can get with a modern 4 x 4. I have an old Land Cruiser that I’m restoring, but there’s just something about a Land Rover that takes me back to my youth watching adventure series and safaris on TV and in the movies and watching these guys driving across Africa and South America in these. Nothing like them.
