The entire live concert was on MTV and still one of the greatest ever. Neal is incredible . The actual album was overproduced and no comparison to the actual live performance.

The song is so profoundly expressive and concise, focusing on those moments in love when we self-reflect. Questioning where we are in a strong bond, and what our love means to our significant other. Powerful. But, dude, what a shitty mix!

Worst Van Hagar album . And its all Hagar's fault . He lied blaming Ray Danniels for the break up . Not the case . Sam's attitude changed when his tequila and Cabo Wabo biz . Then he started bossing Edward around enough to really piss him off . Whatever Sam said, ended their friendship .

@stevensmith780 guitar magazine interviews . Go look at a compilation from Howard Stern . It's a compilation of Van Halen clips . There's a clip where you see Hagar backstage somewhere saying " This is MY band . " . The next clip he says " Lead singer of the band leader of the band what's the difference ? " . The greatest hits album wasn't Ray's idea . Warner Bros DEMANDED greatest hits albums from everyone . And Hagar never said 💩 about wanting to be with his wife till he wrote his book of lies . Hagar quit because he didn't want to compete with Roth . Warner wanted a new song from each . Even Mike said he quit . THE INSIDE MAGAZINE VH3 promotion issue stated this . Hagar even told one of the reporters he didn't want to do the album .

Anyone who hates on the “Sammy” era is really hating on Ed. Ed wrote all the music. He evolved from the early vh days and had music to get out. Music that didn’t seem to fit with DLR. When VH1 came out, they were young and taking names. Ed was ferocious and playing with the power and angst of his age. He grew and had something else to get out. Sammy connected with that. Hate all you want on this time. But some great songs came from it. Appreciate it for what it was. What it wasn’t was a competition. RIP King Edward. Thank you for ALL the music.
