Many many happy days I remember being frightened to death as a ten year old in my dads mates creme and brown with vinyl roof RS Custom...reg plate MDU 818V..what a car...I wonder many times what ever happened to it.It was bought from Rugby Autocar Nuneaton. Never saw another beige/creme again...they also had a light blue RS 2000 base model...took them a while to sell that..

This last edition of Capri is actually very timeless design. Very few 70's and 80's designs still look good (well of course the icons like Ferraris and 911's) but I'm talking normal cars. This still looks absolutely brilliant and certainly deserves its place as a classic. Too bad they made those 1.3's and 1.6s too.

Nice nice MkII RS2000. I live in the US and have been a Ford fan my entire life. I've always been fond of the Mk1 & Mk2 Escorts. Everytime I'm sure I like the Mk1 more than the Mk2 I see a photo or video of a Mk2 (like your's) and I don't know which Series I prefer. When it comes to Mk2's I prefer the non-RS2000 flat nose, but if I saw them both in person I could very well like the Droop Snoot more (and definitely after driving an RS2000 vs. an RS Mexico (1.6L Pinto) or 1600 Sport (Cross Flow).

Must have cost a fortune. It's worth every penny. And more.

That's better than out of the factory. Do you ever drive it? When you cracked open the door I was expecting the smell of feu du orange hanging on the mirror. Shame about the brown seats though. Whoever resprayed it was a master. That paint is like nail polish.

I have my 2.8 over 30 years now it's my first car and I will never sell it !Same colour as that but not a special as it's an 81 car my car is immaculate but unfortunately I had to get it resprayed 25 years ago so not as original as this.Fabulous car I wouldn't have sold that in a million years !
