READ THIS WHOLE THING: PRAY FOR ISRAEL. PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM. The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the Gospel. Mark 1:15 THE LORD JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOUR SINS AND ROSE AGAIN FROM THE DEAD. WOULD YOU LIKE TO TAKE YOUR PLACE IN HIS HOUSEHOLD? THEN PLEASE REPENT OF ALL YOUR SINS TODAY, AND GIVE ALL YOUR LIFE TO HIM, WHOSOEVER READS THIS MESSAGE. THE LORD IS GOOD, AND NOBODY IS OUT OF THE CANDIDACY FOR BECOMING A CHRISTIAN. THE TIME HAS COME TO REPENT OF FEMALE "PASTORSHIP", INFANT "BAPTISM", ALL THE THEOLOGY THAT HAS TORN AWAY OUR CHURCHES, THE CONDONING OF LGBT PRACTICES, DRAG QUEENS, AND AB***ION, AND OTHER THINGS THAT HAS TORN THE CHURCH DOWN. MAY GOD HUMBLE YOU ALL AND LEAD YOU TO GREAT REPENTANCE AND SUBMISSION TO JESUS CHRIST AS LORD.

The churchfathers thought that 1. "Spirit of God" and 2. "God [the Father] is a spirit" (Jn. 4:24) were TWO distinct Spirits. Not true, they are the SAME One! Indeed you know that both 1. the Holy Spirit (AKA Spirit of God) is INSIDE Jesus "Filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus returned from Jordan..", and 2. "God [the Father] who is a spirit" (Jn. 4:23-25) is INSIDE Jesus "...from the Father who dwells in me.". But Jesus states that ONLY ONE SPIRIT is inside Him, namely THE FATHER: for ex. "I am not ALONE because the Father is with me" (reiterated dozens of times). This means that "SPIRIT OF GOD" - inside Jesus - and "GOD WHO IS A SPIRIT" - inside Jesus - are actually both the SAME ONE SPIRIT (the Father). They just show a slightly different wording. Thus, the "Spirit of God" is not a helper-God, HE IS THE FATHER. The churchfathers were wrong. If you change terminology the result is the same: "Holy Spirit" and "Father, who is a spirit" (Jn. 4:23-25) are not TWO distinct Spirits but the SAME ONE. Jesus simply is together ONLY with "(A) the FATHER who is (B) a SPIRIT" and calls Him either "HOLY Father" or "HOLY Spirit" according to circumstances. They are just two EQUIVALENT names given by Jesus to the Father. You can learn it from the speech about the two blasphemies, where the second one is of course directed to the Father: He is called "Holy Spirit" by Jesus.

This was very enlightening as someone that entered into my Christian faith through this narrow idea of salvation. I thank Dr. Arnold for her message and the whole panel's input.

I think St. Lukes missed a great opportunity to use this lesson as a way to honor how God uses people with disabilities and given that it is disability pride month as well. In John 9:3 it discusses how this happened so that the works of God can be displayed through him. Yes, the blind man sees, both figuratively and literally. This lesson could have be enriched in so many ways by having the office hours and bringing in several folks to talk about how God uses not only people with disabilities but also the intersections of the minority experience including those in the LGBTQ communities and racial lenses and creating faith in action. All of which, as Dr. Groce, would identify as more of an outsider lenses. Congrats to Dr. Groce on your graduation and dissertation defense but this lesson makes me sad. St Lukes spends a lot of money in DEI for LGBT, Race, Hispanic Heritage, etc. etc. And hasn't done anything to acknowledge to Disability Pride or to help educate the community in how they can advocate and honor how God can use everyone, no matter how different than the norm.
