The gun does actually have a safety for carrying. You pull the hammer back one click. The firing pin will stay out of contact with the cartridge until you either pull the trigger or the hammer all the way back and pull the trigger.

More and mire not an “inexpensive truck gun”. They’re getting scooped at prices of 450 and up (plus FFL fees) Stainless version of Smith-Wesson model 10, introduced in 1974, blue version in 1970. Take a gander at wikipedia, viewers.

You’re the second to comment on that 😃, but the gun shot great that day. Should be even more accurate with it latched 👍 thanks for commenting!

Good video. Nice looking property. I would like to see a follow up on the rifle build. I bought two barrels that turned out to be Bear Creek Arsenal’s. One Anderson. And one AR stoner. Turns out they were made by BCA. Both are great shooters. But I could have saved some money by buying directly. In the last three months I have bought two BCA’s rifles and one Palmetto State Armory’s. When ether of companies have a sale. It cheaper to buy a whole rifle. I almost all ways install a Larue MBT trigger, Larue pistol grip and a muzzle brake. I keep buying a LMT muzzle brake because they are clearing out their 5/8X24 threaded 308. Regularly $135. Right now $25. Flat rate shipping is $15. But if you buy four. Free shipping. No sales tax. They work great. And they are light.

Nice restoration! I just bought one of these. Outstanding condition. No scratches or faded bluing. Action seems nice and tight. The only flaw is it was missing the center pin head. The pin and springs are there and the gun is fully functional but you need to grasp the pin with pliers to open the cylinder. I was able to buy the head on Gunparts. The problem is its not clear how the head is held on. The head slips over the pin. The parts drawing shows what appears to be a tiny expansion pin that fits in a cross-drilled hole through the pin and head. The problem is there is no cross-drilled hole. The center pin is not threaded, so it doesn't screw on. Can anyone tell me how that head piece attaches to the pin?

It’s forged into the receiver, all one piece of steel. Bula does make standard M14 type receivers but this one is their XM21 that has the scope mount and receiver as one piece.

Nice job! It looks great! I got one at a show, 1965. It looked like new, but was screwed up from stem to stern. First, it kept misfiring because of the worn out plastic hammer driver on the mainspring. They must have been drinking that day in the engineering department. So I made one out of tool steel, then, the cylinder stop was barely engaging, the double action was slipping out, so I tuned the hammer and sear catches. Now its 100% dependable. Lastly, I whitened and smoothly contoured the trigger because that thing was terrible with all of those sharp edges. I actually trust the half-cock saftey system. The catch is quite deep, and it would take a hell of a blow to make it accidentally discharge. It's a blue snubby with the same grips as yours, and after many hours, I'm finally happy with it. Thanks for the great video!

Why do they have to sloppily etch a number on the gun? They can be identified with the serial number. At least add the number to the back strap.

It’s just a piece of gear, no different than a flashlight except that they track them in house. They aren’t gun enthusiasts. I sold all seven I had for a good price so the buyers were happy even with that flaw. Thanks for watching!

@@Gearsandoil I have a overseas LE trade in model 64-5... Mine is stamped by the reimporting firm. To me it's a certificate of authenticity right there. What I like is it is a bobbed hammer double action only Very happy I bought it... In my area these sell in less than a day even though ammo is scarce. I can shoot this well and it's comfortable

Great video. I would always miss the classic 'whine' from the Dolphins. You can always tell its a Dolphin/Dauphin without even looking just from the sound. That original design (minus the under-powered engine) was great. I'm not a fan of the long nose design and the lawnmower sound now. Will always be my favorite helicopter.

Hey, nice rifle. I have been looking to get one of these for a while but I have not seen them in stock at bula's website. Do you mind saying where you got the receiver/rifle?
@Gearsandoil
@Gearsandoil 4 жыл бұрын
Chris Wright I bought it directly from Bula. They do sell barreled receivers, rifles etc but they are currently working on some military contracts and so not producing product for the commercial market. All of that is “what I heard” anyway. Your best bet is to contact them directly.
