The place is still open but now it’s been renamed as the Whatcom skagit county model railroad club

You have the right to your opinions! 🤢For me being a 66 year fan of "THEE" Milwaukee Road. I enjoy seeing all pictures, of the Milwaukee Rd. Even if the quality is not the BEST! To see images of how it was back in history still makes me Happy!!! 😀😀😀🚅🚈🚄🚎🚈🚂🚂

At least you had the foresight to shoot or collect pictures of the Milwaukee while they were around. I was so absorbed in my hometown Soo Line that I neglected the Milwaukee even though they were pretty close to where I lived. The first time I really took a hard look at them was when all the hundred+ beat-up locomotives started showing up at Hiawatha yard in south Minneapolis after they abandoned the western extension to Tacoma. Good thing for modern video and print technology and Google Earth or I'd never even seen that much. I spent some time taking pictures of them but not nearly as many as I should have.

Years ago an Alco RS-3 was the switcher there...The Milwaukee Road and Northern Pacific were still operating in Bellingham. Wish I had a camera then.

If you look, there is a trackmobile on the rails. They run on VERY rare occasions.

Good times. All I can say is dont take a gas 26 foot Uhaul over this mountain with a full load + car trailer with a 3/4 ton truck. Almost died, it wouldnt hold back in 1st gear, tached out the 8.1 chevy gas motor at 5500+ while burning the brakes.

3:45 - that looks like Bellingham, WA. The last time I checked, that trestle was still in place - though rails were long since removed.
