This is a big help, thanks! We just booked the HOJO hotel for our son’s 1st bday in Disneyland in September and I was hoping it was an actual 8 min walk and not just advertised as that!

Great Birthday present he will love it. The good thing as well is there is plenty of food on the way to and from HoJo, the rooms are big, even in the budget room. We had a stroller, and a cot and still had plenty of room to walk around. If you need a coffee to get started in the morning there is a Starbucks in the hotel across the road, the line is much shorter there than at Disneyland.

Courtyard Anaheim, it's the hotel closest to HOJO, it's in their lobby on the left.

Splash mountain took you to a whimsical place, like when uncle Remus walked into the cartoon world of song of the South. This doesn't seem like it does that. I'll stick to going to the Walt Disney family museum which is about 45 minute away from where i live. Its all about Walts Disney and not anytime controversial.

No loops, it's basically the same layout of Space mountain in Disneyland, but it's a smoother ride.

Honestly the hotel was ok, the issue we had was it was really loud and we could hear combinations clearly next door. The beds are good and it was reasonably priced. We recently stayed at the Candy Cane Inn, with free breakfast and parking you can't go wrong, also the rooms are really quiet. Also much closer to the park. The free breakfast and parking sold us as it really brought down the price. I hope this helps :)

We also would recommend Howard Johnson, it's a bit more, but rooms are bigger, you do need to pay for parking and they don't have food on site/breakfast. But for the price and closeness to Disneyland I would recommend it.

Most of the animatronics here are begging for manteinance. Never saw a Disney ride in any park in the world being treated this poorly. Hopefully they'll fix it soon.

I agree with you on that. We just came back from Hong Kong Disneyland and all the animatronics worked flawlessly. They need to invest in Disneyland Resort like they do for the overseas Disneyland's.

This is 100% cooler than the Tarzan treehouse I grew up visiting. The Tarzan one actually scared me because of the jaguar, and the whole scene of his parents getting murdered being depicted in the treehouse itself. This one just seems to embody the joy and wonder of living in a treehouse and even has scientific elements to it that really just.. make it a much more interesting experience. It’s really sad that they downgraded to Tarzan’s treehouse, and then if I remember right, there has been rumors? Of the treehouse being changed again. I haven’t visited it in over ten years so I’m not sure if it’s changed already again or not.

I did just read the video description, I am THRILLED that this replaced the Tarzan treehouse! This is incredible! I thought this was somehow a high quality recording of the original Swiss Robinson family tree house, but the fact that this is now at the park? I would spend so much time here, this is amazing.

RIP Splash Mountain (1989-2023). I remember Splash Mountain's height requirement was 40 inches, same as Space Mountain, Star Tours, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I assume the height requirement will remain the same once it reopens as Tiana's Bayou Adventure.

I read the Winnie-the-Pooh books a year or so before Disney's first Winnie-the-Pooh cartoon....so I knew Disney didn't originate Pooh. But now I am amazed that so many people only associate Pooh with Disney-even people older than I am. It seems Disney wants a monopoly on children's entertainment. Thank you for the real history of Pooh & friends.
