@@nicolettabaker7611 Hey Nicole, I think we are on the same page when it comes to wire. I really like to copper. Yes it’s more expensive but when you put so much work into the project you want it to last for years and keep its shape. It’s so good to hear from you!!!! 😁👋👍

Hi Carol. I got the first part of the 4 part roots then I got lost to how you did the next 2 lots of two. Probably just me lol. Is it possible to see a pic of the roots standing up, so I can see the pattern.I did watch many times but still didn't get it. Could be old age who knows. Thank you.

Good morning Donna, I’m so glad that you reached out. The idea of the root system is just to connect the wires, so that your trunk and crown of the tree doesn’t not fall apart on you while creating. This also again is just a basic root system. If you have 8 wires split them into 4’s. Then take your group of 4’s that is one set, they are next to each other. But separate, and not connected. These wires just need to be connected to each other. Once each of your groups of wires are connected. Then just twist the wires all the way to the end. Doing it this way allows you to use the long wires to wrap around a rock. I hope this helps. I will do another video on this in the near future. And try to do a better job showing you. Thank you again Donna for the questions. It really helps be better about explaining how too. Best wishes on your twisting adventure.

Carol Happy Birthday I hope it was great. I watch your videos more than any other wire tree artist and they are great. Your humor is adorable. I have one question, I just finished two little pine trees after watching your video several times. They came out cute. Now I am trying to make a pine tree with green needles. When do you decide to use the pre-made loops or loops as you go? Does it matter? Also how do you determine how many strands of wire to use. I want this tree to be 10 inches long and am using 56 pieces of wire. I hope you have time to respond. Have a great day and happy twisting my friend. Barb Turino
@clkmickey
@clkmickey 2 ай бұрын
Good morning Barbara, thank you! WOW, what an awesome question. there is a whole lot in your question, but I will try to answer to the best of my ability. so my first thought would be is your 10 inch pine tree that you wish to create including the roots system if so, my suggestion would be to use at least 20 inches in length of wire. That will allow you to get to your 10 inches in length when including , your total root system to the top of the tree. Your message says that you’re using 56 pieces of wire, what gauge wire are you planning to use? For a 10 inch pine tree my suggestion would be to use at least 100 to 120 strands of wire so that you have some fullness in your Pine tree. If you are thinking about making your branches about an inch from the bottom of the roots. If your pine tree is going to be created with your lower branches, much higher above your root system, then you might be OK with the 56 strands of wire. Barbara, I hope that this might help you a little bit in making those decisions before creating this gorgeous pine tree that you are about to take on.
