I have an ISA which is now 'full' - it's reached the 20K allowed. My question is: as it now generates money (every day) which puts the total OVER £20K, is that 'extra money' still generating tax-free money? Someone even told me that the ISA I have should not be used now as it has gone OVER the £20K limit!? Surely not? I've checked online but the answers seem confusing, conflicting and contradictory! Thanks if you can help.
@trakamtv5398Күн бұрын
How does that even increase your ISA allowance? What’s the point of putting it in to just take out the next day so you can’t gain any interest?

I'm always going to vote Reform. What the government has done to the UK is treason. Keep our pubs open, support farmers, zero taxpayers' funds to anyone not born in the UK. All immigrants paying for NHS services. British priority for schools & social housing. End net zero & ditch the ECHR. Open up coal mines, oil, nuclear & gas. Our government just panders to foreigners.
@samclaxton75405 күн бұрын
Very interesting strategy, would this work with a LISA? As Im currently maxing my LISA at £4k and putting about the same a year in another ISA as well. I would love to put my SIPP payments into my ISA until April 6 up to 16k then place them into my SIPP but I would miss out on that last year higher rate pension tax relief. Will definitely be putting all liquid assets into thes ISA on the 5th Apr, after this crypto market cycle I'll need that allowance.

Supporting Reform UK is a leap of faith for sure but when you look at any of the legacy uniparty and their proposals it’s less of a leap. When you add the current trend for, if you are a legacy party, lying through your teeth in your “promises” then the leap is smaller still and worth the risk. Be assured that Reform has its eye on big government just like the new presidential administration in the USA. Watch this space. We want to reclaim the political arena for the normal decent majority once again.

Higher taxes = higher inflation = government subsides to quell inflation, The rising interest rate can surely control inflation, but won't prevent erosion of the eroding purchasing power of the US dollar. I have learnt my lesson this time. The banks can't be making money off my money, while inflation eats into it. I have set aside 650k to invest in the stock market now, since that keeps up with inflation, but I don't know how to get started.
@henryallard2457 күн бұрын
Yeah, things may be hard right now, but I've come to realize both bear and bull market, recessions and economic boom, all provide opportunities to make high gains, I used to call bluff on folks that bragged about making a fortune from such down-markets until I happened to do so myself
@RowanBryson7 күн бұрын
Keeping money in the bank is like paying banks and the Government. Here's how it works: The bank gives out your money as loan, and charge interest obviously higher than inflation rate, and then give you, the depositor, interest lower than inflation rate. That means net loss for you. That is why I prefer to invest, and on average, my advisor makes returns that always beats inflation!
@MarshalWagner4577 күн бұрын
To be honest, I've been wary of banks for a while, but I wasn't sure how to speak with an advisor first. Please let me know who your adviser is if it's okay; I need some recommendations.

My god an advert for reform, a party led by the most inadequate politician ever. All these tax cuts make it sound like Christmas is coming every day but cutting billions of the governments income can only lead to one thing......bankruptcy. Farage and his cohorts have already damaged the UK considerably with his Brexit, gained by spewing out lie after lie. Cheaper energy was promised now the opposite has happened and people are freezing to death. No sooner was Brexit done and Farage was getting French passports for him and his family, allowing them free movement throughout Europe. Something everyone else was being denied. Don't believe a word he says. He is a mouthpiece for big business and a danger to the public health and finances.

I think the proposals on personal allowance are great. Obviously there would be a big loss of tax revenues but I’d scrap the state pension to pay for that. Also the plan to offer tax relief on private medical insurance is good but we need to scrap the NHS at the same time.
@juttley728 күн бұрын
Vote reform If you want to lose the NHS in favour of a private health insurance system, something that Farage has stated he wants. Moreover, his orange friend, trump has once again said any trade deal with the US would only be agreed if the NHS was on the table for US health care providers. 22% of US citizens have no insurance and therefore no access to health. The average cost per month per person for health insurance in the US last year (2024) was $477. That is the average, if you have existing conditions you will pay a lot more. Health care debt in the US is the number one reason for bankruptcies. So for all you people who want to vote Farage for the next PM, I hope you have deep pockets, or you are very healthy. My parents voted reform, and they are both 80 with multiple long term conditions. Private health care costs would be unaffordable. Guess we can look forward to the old system of health care that existed before the NHS, they were called the work house. Wake up and see reform for what it is. A private company set up to elect a charlatan to high office so he can milk it for all its worth. He is seeing Trump do it, and wants to do it to us.

1. There's approx 440 extra-governmental departments who tell the Govt what to do, unaccountable, and funded by the taxpayer. If you want to save money without cutting services start there. 2. 20% of workers do 80% of the work. All work from home cancelled - (if you can work from home your job isn't IMPORTANT enough to require other people in the office anyway and you'll be replaced by AI in 2-3 years imo - so go back to work!) then PERFORMANCE REVIEW everyone from the top down like we do in the private sector. Any 1-2 scores out of 5 and you're out - like the private sector. I'd even be happy to pay the 4+5s part of the salary of those fired as a performance bonus. Rachael from accounts will never do this.

Hello Thank you for the video. Wanted to ask, part of Reform UK manifesto is to reduce NIN for employers who hire British people over foreigners who will have to pay a 20% on it. However, does it mean all non-British people even those with the right to live and work in the UK permanently? As this will clash with the constitution of the UK. Or do they mean, employing people from abroad?

All parties have some level of outside influence that affects the policies that the party will introduce. No one party can expect to please every one of those who may vote for them. Equally, no person voting will always agree with every act or policy of that party. One must assess which party, in general, will follow the path you most agree with. Both the Conservative and Labour parties have demonstrated that they have little to no care for the majority of the populace, and simply ignore any aspects of government that would make a citizen and their family ' happier'. Such actions/ policies need not be too drastic and does not mean there would be tough areas to tackle. By putting in place several new ideas to make it more acceptable to the majority the tougher aspects would not be noticed so much. Human nature. Simple.

Many people are against private healthcare however, I think both should be encouraged, it's a very simple reason why: Morally the rich shouldn't be using NHS services when they can remove themselves for the ques and allow people who need those services more to the front. Private healthcare for those who are more well off should be considered a moral imperative.

Absolutely hilarious. What Reform intend to do with "our money" largely amounts to stopping the government from taking "our money" from us and giving it to others of us. This means that when somebody says with any degree of concern anything about what Reform intends to do with "our" money, what they actually mean is that socialists are concerned that some people will be getting less OPM: Other Peoples' Money. And unfortunately that is the problem with socialists, they always reliably run out of other people's money. If socialists actually understood economics they wouldn't be socialists...

In 2023/24 the government received a total of £282 billion in income taxes (PAYE and Self-Assessment) and £181 billion in National Insurance contributions. It would cost roughly 2 billion to stop homelessness across the UK and roughly 1.4 billion to send everyone to University and get an education without having to pay back any loan. Let that sink in.
