Former wrestler here. Some advice I would give to anyone wanting to become a wrestler and trying to understand your moveset. 1) think about the entire feud and the storyline you are working. Are you a heel & the guy you're facing pissed at you because you betrayed him? Personal matches should be worked different. I see too many people walk down to the ring to their entrance music and lock up as if it's a normal match. You should be making a bee line RUNNING to get to him (if you're the face) Don't stand there and wait for the introductions. If you're the heel you need to clear out of the ring as fast as you can. (Take a powder we called it). Unless you're a giant/bigger than the baby face. Or he's the underdog. THINK this through. 2) Break your matches down & remember that the match starts once you walk through the curtain not when you enter the ring. I touch on that in #1. Then have a clear beginning, middle, & an end to your match. Think what story you're trying to tell for your fued, & where this match is within the fued. Is it the 1st match? Who is going over at the end of the feud? Who should win the 1st match to keep people from figuring that out? Should the heel look dominant to make the face chase? Should the heel cheat? DQ? Does the heel start off with lots of heat? Do you have the face do a typical come from behind? Is the first finish strong? If so why should the fans pay to see the next match? How are you going to get your heat back? 3) Make your promos count. Take a creative writing course. You won't believe how well learning how to write a vignette will help you. A vignette is 10 lines and tells a short story. That's all you need for a good promo. Work your way up to longer promos. Make sure your character not only means every word but can actually back it up. Dont just say throw away things. Thats all too common today ie: Im going to kick your ass etc. Tell them exactly what you are going to do to them & why. If you're the face explain why you're right. If you're the heel - remember - youre still the hero in your own story. If you have a crazy character type learn to take it where you need to. Don't be afraid to fail. Sometimes the worst promos are the best (Steiner math) or Psycho Sid etc. 4) Learn to get the most by doing the least. There is never a need to do a 450 splash in front of 25 people to "get over" or to "get a pop." All the best wresters ever from Hogan to Flair to MJF, Bret Harts, to Cody, who make the most money aren't the Jon Morrisons, AJ Styles, Sonjay Dutts, or Christopher Daniels never were as successful as the former group. It's okay to be able to have a move like a shooting star press a la Brock Lesnar but save it for ONE time when it matters most on the biggest pay days & the most personal fueds. Don't give it away to everyone freely. If you can't get the crowd involved with a head lock, you haven't figured out the rest yet. Your body is your only tool. Make it last. Even if you do all of this right - just like any sport, football, baseball, soccer, whatever... 99% are going to end up being nobodies. Id say Gunther is the best example. Get over a finisher, then have someone kick out of it & make it your secondary. Then introduce a new one. Then a year later have someone kick out of that & repeat. After you've gone through 4-5 finishers ideally get to a point where you can beat anyone with any of your finishers at any time so you are more unpredictable. (I personally am against having a single finisher) This part goes against conventional wisdom but I think it resembles a real fight. If everyone knows a move is coming and that you are going to win off of that move it begins to look too fake and too scripted. However if you hit a move out of nowhere they will never know which one is going to be the false finish and you will catch them surprised much more often and the fans will enjoy that much more. (Remember that doesn't mean that you can't also have an extra finisher in the hole that you rarely use except on special occasions that you still keep protected for no one to kick out of) Two things can be true at the same time. This way if you get into a particularly tough fight you may have to go to the A1 finisher after cycling through all of your finishers to put this one particular opponent away. Save that for your absolute BIGGEST matches ever. (If your career becomes that successful/long). Unfortunately I got hurt & ran into a lot of issues on my journey. Best of luck to anyone who goes down this path. Its a hard one & even though Im 44 & it takes me 5 hours to get ready in the morning I still had a hell of a lot of fun in my 20s. I don't know if I would have taken it back or not. Just remember that when you get older you may never be able to do the things you used to do again.

To be honest, the show wasn't good at all. In fact, it was terrible and the total opposite of the movie. The students in the movie were way better actors than the ones on the show. Also, no disrespect to Annie Potts but Michelle Pfeiffer's acting was so great in the movie she should've gotten an Academy Award for her performance. There is a reason it got canceled after one season and is totally forgotten about. Remember, this show was released on ABC in the middle of the TGIF lineup and other great shows on that network at the time. There was no way this show was competing with others on ABC.

Man, this was a tough watch at the end, Tony. Don't know what led up to it, and hopefully, this is some work. If it isn't, I hope everyone cleared the air. Otherwise, in future livestreams you should step in and take control because you don't need anyone saying, "I don't really give a damn about this podcast," on your fucking show. Just my two cents. P.S. Georgy = Georgie, not Gregory.
