Have you installed steady cast yet? If not look into it for offshore, I’m fairly sure I heard on a podcast you were on that you had something similar when you used lowrance

I use lowrance point 1 with my Garmin. Heading sensors make a big difference. I have heard good things with the steady cast but I haven’t used one.

I just started learning to offshore fish recently. I'm curious if you are and other good fisherman fish these specific structure/cover spots you find while graphing or do you have to know that fish are there by seeing them on your graph first?
@Nategoodwinfishing5 ай бұрын
I used to make the mistake of not fishing a spot if I didn’t see them. No I’ll make a few casts. Just like the first couple decent ones on the ledge. I didn’t see em. Sometimes when they’re sitting on bottom or you don’t hit them at the right angle with the transducer you won’t see em. Always make a few casts if you think there should be some there.

@Nategoodwinfishing6 ай бұрын
I can run 2 1/2hrs or so at 4mph before the battery is dead. 10+ miles but staying at 1/2-3/4 throttle which is around 3.5-3.7mph I can almost double that run time so then we’re talking 15+ miles. Most I’ve done in a day 10-11 miles give or take according to google earth.

At this point you might as well get a bass boat. It’s sweet for sure…
@Nategoodwinfishing6 ай бұрын
lol your probably didn’t get to the part where I talk about that. I’ll save ya some time. I’d need a new tow rig for a bass boat, new bigger garage, boat payment, now new truck payment, yearly maintenance, 40-100$ at least every time I use it. Also can’t afford a brand new fiberglass rig so I’d be buying used so then you gotta worry about breakdowns and how much that costs. Unfortunately as much and as long as I’ve wanted a bass boat it’s an absolute awful purchase. Will I have one, definitely but for the next couple years this “kayak” will do.
