Where do you get the plastic bag ‘yarn’ from. I’m in Australia.

In the 1950s my granny would cut up wonder bread bags and crochet tote bags. I still have one of her bags. It is nice to see this craft coming back.

This is very nice work! I have found that using the plastic yarn along with a strand of cotton yarn makes these bags even stronger and less likely to stretch when they have weight in them. You can get some really pretty color combinations that way too! Thank you for sharing your beautiful work and your skill!

Do you wash and dry the bags before you make the plain? And can the bag be washed when it's made, too?
