Visually, it's a huge step up. But my only issue has to be the size of it compared to a Q3. It's just so bulky and I've never been able to get comfortable with it for racing. I Have ultimately decided that I'm going to sell it and move to triple monitors. It's nothing that Pimax has done wrong, it's just that I've gone from the original Oculus Developer's Kit, to the DK2, to the CV1 then the Rift S and ultimately the Quest 3, and to me the size of the Pimax just doesn't work after that progression into smaller headsets.

Sorry for the late reply. Having gone through four headsets before the PCL, all of them Oculus/Meta, I can't give you a comparison to the G2 but I do have some in my racing league who have made the switch from G2 and seem to be happy with it. Of course with Windows 24H2 you really don't have a choice anymore it seems. I'm going to triples as I just can't get comfortable in the PCL and decided I don't want to go back to the Q3. Nothing against the Pimax, it works great, but it's just not for me unfortunately.

@ no problem! Thanks for the reply. I think I’m going to cool it for a bit and stick with what I have since I just upgraded my gpu to a 4080 super. I’m pretty happy with my button boxes and what not.

I do 3D renderings and architectural visualizations on the side, so along with the 4090's 24GB of video memory, there are times I can push the system memory pretty high as well!

I'm still working on settings in both iRacing and OpenXR, but so far it's very impressive visually. I still don't feel that "fluid" frame rate when driving, even when the frame rate stays at a consistent 90+. But it could also be due to things being a little blurry as I await a set of lenses from HonsVR. As far as FOV, for comparison I have owned the Oculus Rift S and the Quest 3, and I feel this is just a little bigger FOV but not a lot. The image above is cropped on all four sides but I'll do another with only the top and bottom cropped to show the limits of the FOV incar. As for system specs, I'll post them in the description above. Needless to say it's a pretty powerful machine, but I definitely think iRacing and the PCL can be dialed in for lower spec machines no problem.
