Thats a nice subwoofer for the price but has way to much mechanical noise.

Get a box from concept enclosures and bring it to life! Definitely needs between 4 to 5 cubes and you will be golden

The 1 thing that kills me about his videos, he does the DB test and puts a ton of power thru them when its not really necessary. Every sub that mechanically maxes when he puts 4k or whatever thru them is Hurt then he does music rms test and test tone I know he does this to all and some pass which is good but its kinda pointless. The only thing that 40hz test tone tells us is if the woofer is overrated, underrated or correct but it dont matter anyway cuz nobody runs 5min test tones free air. Subs are meant to be played in boxes lol

If he was using his hard earned money to purchase all them subs he WILL never abuse and destroy them. Just my opinion on all the videos he makes about this so call testing subwoofers. I guess when it's free you can do whatever you want and when viewers see that it will make then feel like the product/brand is not good because of the overpowering / wrong enclosure and free air abuse.

There is a clip light on the meter....dropping voltage is not good...but the amp was processing the power at that wattage without an issue...Its more likely for him to smoke that amp.

Its a "budget sub" it is what it is. I wouldn't buy them. There's better available within $20-$50 . I believe this company will fall off if they don't improve instead of making excuses.

Great review, the sub is damaged so the test is null and void. For those crying about SQ, add mass to the cone on watch the SQ improve. It's the same with a lot of these Chinese subs. Great woofer.

The box is actually recommended for 2 to 2.5 cuft enclosure I’m starting to wonder what his amp settings are for his videos as he bottomed out the B2 audio sub also and I’ve never seen that ever with b2 productions if run correctly!!! I honestly think Parker is a knob!!!

As long as he tests every sub close to the same then there is comparative data which is super useful plus its fun to watch subwoofers blow up. :) Thanks to both of you all. Never seen anyone react to a car audio video before. I like it!

I have two of the smackdowns 18s and from what i see is that they do need a long period of break in on or at rms pwr. They are definitely some low end monster. Very windy subs

I got 2 pa gothics in a custom box on a Taramps smart three bass at 4 ohms about 1500 W to the pair these subs like 500w to 750w clean power for there price they’re really unbeatable. They are favorite budget and I’ve had everything from sundown to deafbounce and skar audio

1 its possible he got a bad sub out the box with coil rub 2 he states multiple times in his video that his box might be a little big 3 he never said it was a bad su b he actually said it was a monster for the money he does bottom out every sub durring his spl by pushing way to much power through them b4 doing the free air rms test and i wish he would only push them past their max rated power if they are still getting louder and not bottoming out

It is crazy for a 12" entry level sub to have a 4" coil hell my 1400$ 15's only have a 4" coil but still for 225$ you can't beat it definitely a budget banger and you should get you one of those bass knob bro they are the truth you can set your pre amp RCA voltage to whatever you want for better tuning because some amps don't like the high RCA voltage and it has a built in oscilloscope and temp sensor that you can set to whatever temp you want and it will turn off your amp and save it if it gets to hot not to mention all the smart tech that will roll off the volume if it detects clipping definitely worth every penny

The oblivion was a disappointment for me but the smackdown is decent. Even the smackdown gets hot very quickly but it does get down. Just my thoughts and what I've seen with the products

Parker is known to do a maximum stress test on equipment, hes blown so many subs, you know that other manufacturers expect him to do such testing because they send him recones with the subs, id venture to say that the Chinese crap (slapz)knock off sub has some quality control issues, you cant expect much when the sub only cost you 222.00 what you think he pays for them 75-100 and puts a decal on calls it his, how much quality control goes into that 75 dollar sub

The slapz youtube channel dropped a video the very next day with their sub on strait frequency at rms for over 5 minutes not 1 issue.

This reminds me of no subsonic and running way way too much power below tunning frequency.

Parker says that box was 2.5 cubes tuned to 32 htz looks like a large 2.5 looks more like 3.2 cubes to me

I love a t.i. frame the 10 inch spider the t.i. frame is the platform for all kinds of big boy subs

I think the 15 is naturally going to be the better buy for more xmax. A 4in coil takes up so much of the spider space that the 15 will work better and not bottom out on the same power.

I really want to run 2 15’s oblivion on a 5k for in daily driver what’s your thoughts on that bass menace

I don't see anything wrong with doing this , your basically loosing up the spider , and listening for anything abnormal, before installing it into the box. Definitely wouldn't over do it and risk damaging the spider or overheat the coil
