Confusion on what to use for oil rice brought me here. Igbo girl here from Agbor, Delta. Ogiri Igbo and ogiri isi are similar but I think the processing makes them different. I rememeber my mum will tell me to buy ogiri igbo when making onugbo (bitterleaf) soup and to buy ogiri isi when making oha soup. So there's definitetly a difference. On a side note, fine girl we sabi cook, sabi research and speaks well, you balance well joor.

What can you substitute the palm oil and the habanera pepper for? If you cant use fish what other meats can you use?
@Veeluvstocook25 күн бұрын
Palm oil is what gives it the distinct taste. You can use vegetable oil but it will become regular stew .

Hi I am a new subscriber ! ☺️ Just an innocent question here, may I ask why you decided to homeschool your kids ? And how do you handle judgments from family members? I have never seen a Nigerian homeschool their children before. I am Nigerian myself, and I am considering homeschooling but I am worried about my family.
@Veeluvstocook4 ай бұрын
Hi Maria! Kindly search me up on Facebook and Dm me and let's talk more. To answer in Sumatra some of your questions: My primary reason amongst others for homeschooling my kids is that I wanted to give them a more individualized learning experience, I want to create a conducive environment that will nurture their passion. I want them to have time to be able to acquire life skills etc. Now, that said there are a lot of other reasons people choose this path. You just have to decide for your self what is your why and let your why help you. As for receiving judgement , that comes with it but if you know your WHY and have set your standard that no one knows what is best for your kids than you. You will decide how to handle that. It is not compulsory you explain yourself to anyone other than your husband/partner. Sometimes, the more you try to explain yourself the more you get dragged into the cycle of hurting your feelings . Bear in mind , some of their concern comes from a place of love and lack of knowledge of what this journey is all about.. I think that will help minimize how you take it personally . For me, I hear your concern and decide if you are willing to listen to me or you just want to be judgemental. If it is the former, I clarify your concerns and move on. I don't keep "defending" my choice. If it is the latter, I don't "waste " my time . I don't know if this makes sense. I hope so

It's been a long time but if I can remember, it was from teacherpayteacher.com and the seller's name is Judy. A. I think some are free and some I had to purchase a digital copy of it. She also has a KZbin channel that is very inspiring.

I love me some greens & yours looks delicious! 👍 As a side note, let your food cool to room temperature before putting it into the refrigerator. I kinda broke mine by doing just that. Now food on the top rack gets frozen 😐
@Veeluvstocook5 ай бұрын
I appreciate your constructive feedback. I do that for my soups . However for this particular soup with greens, I wanted to "stop" the cooking temperature faster so I put it in the refrigerator to quickly bring down the temperature (however I do that with lids off. And from my personal experience, it has been doing what I intended for it to do.... "stop" the cooking temp and retaining the bright color 😊. Again thank you for your feedback.
