This is the first time I've seen the CC used to claim a silo! Is this new, or do you usually do it in IL runs?

this is brand new! kesanka came up with the strat to use the two tanks to kill the 6 silos, and we can abuse the fact that they're neutral buildings so the ai doesn't really care about them. sraw pointed out that the trigger is only checking that no neutral silos exist here, so we found that it's actually faster to capture the 6 and to focus on killing the other 5 with the tanks. the downside is that we lose our access to scans, which means that the wraiths have to be a lot more forward to give vision, which can get them killed and can also draw some of the enemy's wraiths in the bottom right which is really bad. i'm not sure if i'll pull this into full campaign runs for that reason but we will see

That play should’ve been treated like game point. Psychologically, how could Georgetown want to continue playing after that? Furthermore, that moment should be in the Library of Congress for March Madness

You may have figured it out by now, but for any other viewers - the units of time like at 10:44 are frames, which are what BW uses for all time-based functions like cooldowns, move speed (pixels per frame), etc. On Fastest speed, one frame is exactly 42 ms, or there are roughly 24 frames in a second.

My wild guess: could it be related to the slow acceleration speed of the SCVs? They are accelerating to reach the speed, and when approaching the destination, they immediately slow down, it seems?

spot on. it's because the further one accelerates to full due to the distance, while the closer one decides it doesn't need to so it doesn't
