His dark hair/eyes...just completely Sexy🔥But I digress. I liked Harmon's voice/his mannerisms, etc. I just see Ted when I look at him. Mark Harmon nailed it (imo)💙 The other guys not so much. I just love this so much. Very well done. When I read "Closer" I kind of was expecting the song from Nine Inch Nails. Seriously, if you could it would be awesome to have that song fitted to John Lowe/Wes Bentley. Even though it would be... kind of kinky then? Hehe. Anyway, well done, I really enjoyed watching this edit. <3
@Kiefer892 жыл бұрын
This is absolutely worth a 👍 from me. I really like what you did here, James.. (By the way, good job on including Zac Efron's face --- I saw the movie, of course, but I can't say Efron "convinced" me. Neither did that other familiar face (whose name I can't, at the moment, recall) in the "American Bogeyman"-film (wow, THAT was an amazingly crappy film, IMHO..). That said, though, the other Bundy-movie from this year, "No Man Of God".. I kinda liked that one. The guy who played Bundy in "No Man Of God" was maybe the most convincing portrayal of Ted Bundy I have seen - and, you know, I've seen them all. What's your opinion?)
@ConnorGregory252 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much for the compliments. Yes I agree about Chad Michael Murray not being convincing as Bundy in American American Boogeyman. He is a natural blonde, has a smaller kinda flat nose, and a more robust phenotype. He was an awful choice for Bundy, can’t understand that casting choice. Luke Kirby did a very good job as Bundy in No Man Of God, probably got Bundy’s voice and mannerisms down the best, and looked similar. But I didn’t like the film, if it was more about Bundy and his spree I think he could be considered the best Bundy. Would like to see an entire Bundy film with him playing the part. As for Efron, I think he was my favorite Bundy. He was able to bring Bundy’s charm, charisma, and manipulativeness to the screen, as well as show the more human side of Bundy as well. Physically I thought he looked close enough and the hair and outfits were spot on for the film. Then Mark Harmon one be my second favorite in The Deliberate Stranger, I think he looked the most like Bundy. Also I thought Michael Reilly Burke was pretty good in the part in the 2002 film.
@Kiefer892 жыл бұрын
@@ConnorGregory25 Michael Reilly Burke, yes, that name... Personally, I don't think Burke was the worst choice --- in my humble opinion, I don't know who I think has been the worst choice (so far...), but Zac Efron and (uhm, Google..) Corin Nemec - in particular - didn't convince me, at all. I don't think Mark Harmon brought anything interesting to the table either (in the TV mini-series from 1986). (I'm "too old" to make associations to any of those Disney-things Efron has been/is involved in - I haven't seen that guy in anything else - I just thought his acting in "Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile" was rather mediocre.) I have blonde hair and blue eyes, and I know there ARE other guys, too, who have these colors (naturally, that is). Why not pick someone who at least physically looks the part? Neither Ross Lynch nor Evan Peters has blonde hair and blue eyes (like Jeffrey Dahmer). And the upcoming mini-series on Dahmer due next year already has the "monster"-word in the title. Hooray.. 🥱 Personally, my favorite Bundy is Luke Kirkby in "No Man Of God". The mannerisms, etc.. 👍 "But I didn’t like the film, if it was more about Bundy and his spree I think he could be considered the best Bundy. Would like to see an entire Bundy film with him playing the part." I understand what you're saying.. 😏

Died the day before his 50th birthday, if I call correctly..? I remember seeing this interview with him in prison as a "sort of" Queen (a real "Queen" is protected by her "King", so no one else messes with her, etc.). Speck appeared to have done some stuff to his breasts to make himself seem more sexually appealing (effeminateI to whoever his "King" (given he had one) let have his way with him. Seriously, though, I was looking at that interview, I kept thinking of another rather tragic figure (Chase), who - like Speck (it seems) - really NEVER experienced a moment of genuine pride or mastery in his relatively short life. (This year, I'm 32, two years older than this deeply tortured man ever was, and yeah, to me, it puts some things in a perspective ---- like, I've been thinking about the late great Bill Hicks, too. Dead at 32. So much to potential, so much to offer, so many more to inspire.. But then, this is just a ride. Anyway, all of my rambling aside... YOUR VIDEO!!! I really liked it (I just truly suck on letting you know how much). I feel like you've "channeled" an aspect of Speck from your most honest "heart & soul" (call it whatever you call it), and I'll definitely continue to be one of your subscribers. You just got that "sensitivity" about you. I respect that, a lot. Hey, don't ever stop being cool. 👌
@ConnorGregory253 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much Kiefer, your praise especially means a lot to me, since your videos have been and still are one of the primary inspirations for me to make these kinds of videos. Ah you are 32, I’m a bit younger having recently turned 25. Yes Richard Speck has a really fascinating story, a man who was without a doubt largely formed by his experiences, many of them being bad experiences with women in particular. The reason I picked this song is because it’s about a man who’s trying to forget his ex by drowning his sorrows, frustration, and loneliness in alcohol. Which is exactly what Richard Speck liked to do. If you know about his story you know he married a virgin (to him women were either pure and wholesome, or tainted whores). However he was suffering from paranoia and believed she was cheating on him. He would pull in front of their house with a girl in his car and kiss her while his wife looked on. They ended up separating and his ex quickly moved on and remarried. This hurt Richard Speck greatly and was without a doubt a primary factor which lead him to spiral out of control. This song is very fitting for him given this experience.

Did he or didn't he? I think Albert DeSalvo, with his an unrelenting libido, would have made it bigger (no put intended..) as a porn star than this self-confessed "serial killer" he decided was the best course of action for him. He could have been Milo from "A Serbian Film". But, every path is the right path. Everything could've been anything else. And it would have just as much meaning. 🧛

The DNA matched him to the last Boston Strangler killing, no doubt in my mind he was the killer in the other cases as well, not sure if he acted alone in all these others cases or not.

@@ConnorGregory25 Frankly, I know next to nothing about this one.. Do you find him (DeSalvo) interesting for any reason (and why, specificlly)..? I can ask, yeah? I kinda feel like we go wayyy back, you and me, so..🤟
@ConnorGregory253 жыл бұрын
Yes, I find him interesting, any video I take the time to make it is because I am a fan of that persons work and/or find them interesting. For one I think he was quite clever that he was able to get into a lot of these women’s homes by convincing them to invite him inside by pretending to be a detective, repairman, delivery man, talent scout/modeling recruiter, etc. The killings were also always due to strangulation, although he sometimes also used a knife. The ligature he used was left around the victim’s neck, tied with an exaggerated, ornamental bow. These killings were often referred to as “The Silk Stocking Murders”. That’s something kind of interesting. Also the fact that he began targeting old women and then branched out to younger women, his crimes were so highly sexually motivated, etc. Lastly I think because I am about half Italian, something about him reminds me of some of my family members. In a weird way his face is familiar and almost comfortable to me. A similar thing can be said for Richard Ramirez. I had a friend of the family, he was a tall Hispanic male, that would hangout with my Mom’s younger brother fairly often when I was kid, at the time he was in his early and mid twenties, although still came around less commonly a little later on. He resembled Richard Ramirez strongly. I have memories of him playing catch with me, playing action figures, coming over my grandparents for bonfires, etc. So in a way I think I subconsciously connect Richard Ramirez to some comfortable moments from my childhood, or at least he gives me comfortable vibes, although there are other reasons why I find him interesting too. On top of the fact we seem to have plenty in common like having the same favorite colors, similar taste in cars, similar taste in music, similar hair, etc.
@Kiefer893 жыл бұрын
@@ConnorGregory25 I'm satisfied with how my "Shadow"-video turned out, I think, for the reason you mention ("channeling"). But, who are we really channeling - them, or ourselves..? Richard's father was a robust man with the same body structure as Ray Winstone (who plays in Gary Oldman's 1997 directional debut, "Nil by Mouth"), the man I used for Richard's father, at the start of "Shadow". I don't know how "channeling" works, but I know how that tiny little boy FELT when he ran to hide from that large, angry, frightening thing that was chasing after him.. Anyway, I don't think I'm "done" with Richard Ramirez yet. 😈
@ConnorGregory253 жыл бұрын
Yes I’m half Italian, I’m basically of half Southern European and half Northwestern European descent. I am assuming you have Scandinavian ancestry? I’m a big fan of The Sopranos, however The Many Saints Of Newark was a massive disappointment for me, I haven’t seen The Irishman yet (it didn’t look good to me). Your videos on all serial killers are without a doubt the best tributes for them on KZbin, I’m especially a fan of your videos of Dahmer and Ramirez. I have plans to make more tributes for Richard Ramirez and Jeffrey Dahmer, although I think I’ll wait till that Netflix miniseries about Dahmer comes out till I make my next one for him, for the sake of having more clips to use. I’m interested to see how Evan Peters does in portraying Dahmer, I think he will do well. I already have some songs in my mind that I think would go great to a Richard Ramirez video. Personally I think when we make these videos we channel a little bit of them as well as ourselves. We are expressing ourselves with these videos, it’s a type of artistic expression of course.
