Man, finally an access cab Tacoma video. No one makes videos of access cabs.. it’s all 4-doors! Great ride. Looking at the side shot of this truck, I realize it’s been almost 5 years and I still can’t get used to that nose on the 3rd gen taco.. it just sticks out so much! I think a 4” lift with 35’s would be perfect on this truck.

Only problems so far was the front tires would rub bad if you turned into a bump, but a little trimming of plastic and that was solved. Also some of the Emergency brake line bracket that came with the kit were rubbing the leaf, added a few spacers and that was solved. I have about 12,000 miles on the lift now with no issues. I have not had to do an alignment and the tires are wearing great. Now granted the only off road driving I have done has been the beach and minor stuff. I am not ready to tear this thing up yet! All in all the Fab-tech Kit is holding up well and is super beefy, its a smooth ride and even with the 35s the truck does well at 75 on longer trips. (Fuel economy sucks but that's expected with a v6 and 35s. If you are going to spend the money on this kit i recommend you buy the Uni-ball upper control arms, its worth the money!! Good luck and I hope your lift goes well. Post pics and a video please. Will

Hey there, So I'm looking at getting the 2018 tacoma. Either the Sr5 4x4 or TRD Off Road 4x4. But mainly the Bilstein shocks are the reason I would swing for the Off Road. Now my question is, when you lift the truck this much like ~6 inches, are the bilstein shocks removed and rendered pretty much useless?
