The problem with subs is that WoW is close combat and ships tend to change speed and course a lot and you must have a lot of luck to get a hit and submarines are way to easy to detect even under the water by planes they should fix that..

Even if you are not secondary spec...can you not get a small bonus by highlighting a target for them? Or does that only make a difference if you have one of the secondary Capt skills?

it is probably not fair comparing new vegas with fallout 4 . try to compare it with fallout 3- personally i dislike fallout 4 because of burrowing molerats , rad scorpions and it feels leess than an rpg than a shooter with limited rpg mechanics . also you cant craft weapons and ammo like in fallout new vegas

I love fallout 3 and New Vegas. I never got into 4. It felt too handholding and I didn't like it.

I enjoy FNV alot, TTW is my favourite way to play fallout - but yes, holy shit. Fallout New Vegas fans are absolutely insufferable. I see them a lot in the circles I'm in since I enjoy Fallout.

Player new to FONV: "Oh, I wonder what all this is about. FONV feels like Fallout alright, but I wonder what is so very special about it? Maybe I have to play it more before it clicks." FONV fanatics: "Degenerates like you belong on a cross." Player new to FONV: "Lovely community."

The notion that it is normal for a well modded Bethesda game to crash "once an hour or so" makes me worry that the rest of your conclusions won't be substantive, and I say this as a person who actually enjoys modding Fallout 4 a bit more than I do New Vegas. It is possible to run dozens of mods in New Vegas and not crash at all for a dozen hours or more. Maybe a deep dive into the most common Bethesda crash(es), what causes it and how it can be mitigated is in order? Generally, I find most players aren't doing an actual 'clean" install (they delete their game files at best but leave my documents / AppData intact) and they don't make any effort to patch their own load orders. Deserts aren't for everyone, obviously, but I didn't find Skyrim to be "more interesting" for the trees. Trees are pretty, certainly, but so are salt flats, saguaro cacti and large skies. The issue, IMO, is that in Fallout 3 and 4, there are random encounter areas that spawn NPCs who tend to wander and often interact with one another. In New Vegas, the vast majority of encounters are locked to their span points and always appear at the same location. Why Obsidian chose to construct their world-space in this way is a mystery to me, though it's not a problem, or "bad" / "wrong." I agree that a lot of New Vegas fans are insufferable, but this is true of many in fandoms of any kind, including Fallout 4 (if I had a nickel for every "fan" who quotes the subjective experience / dialog of a single NPC in a previous game as "canon"...)

I just started the video but I must do a little correction. 98% of fallout fans are AMAZED by the series. And between those 2% I would say that 1% are the really annoying and louder . The Fallout community HATES those kind of behavior towards other people, specially the newcomers. To me, Sea Lord had a bad experience with some people and it's painting the whole "fallout new vegas fans are insufferable". But again: the vast majority of fallout fans LOVED the series and when people ask then "what game should I play?" They'll give a list of reasons to play each game

Tried the old F3, F3V and F4 2 years ago, they are unable to run on a predator monitor; run only in a small window.

Its cause nv is a good game and 4 was trash, maybe just maybe thats the reason. And nv felt closer to the fo1/2 lore and setting and feeling. But maybe thats just me

Fallout 3 was peak. Story, replayability, much better dialog. Fallout 4 I played for maybe 4/5 hours, and it was just meh. Story sucked. Whole interaction was eh. Really hope that Fallout 5 is good

I like New Vegas because choices matters in this game. Quest NPCs can die, or the player can outright kill them, creating different outcomes. Or the skills the player picked up along the playthrough can create different outcomes as well, different experiences. There are much fewer of the above in Fallout 4, quest NPCs can't die, and if they do they are insignificant, nothing. Better weapon system in New Vegas, also playing into that choices matters. Fallout 4 is just a fun outdoor adventure while looking for your son game, but New Vegas, within the scope of the game, you do as you please.

I dont think the insufferable's are as exclusive to the games fans, as I they are to the fabled internet troll. By the way, you keep comparing it to fallout 4, its built of fallout 3 though.

I think it's mostly nostalgia, tbh. New Vegas captured more hours from me when I was a high school boy. Now as a grown woman, I do keep coming back every couple of years. 3 was insanely buggy, 4 was underwhelming and 76 was just... less I say the better my blood pressure (I heard it's better now)

Life lesson: Stop caring what other people think. You will find your overall stress and frustration levels vastly reduced if you do. While I played FO-FO4, I prefer fantasy RPGs like DA:O, NWN, and BG3 :)
