Grew up on MN lakes. Back in the 80s we had 30 people on a pontoon. You were standing in 2ft of water as it was semi submerged, moving 10mph, more weight in coolers. I applaud your run!

Ibe got a 2019 suntracker 20ft party barge with a 90hp motor, with the bimini open and mostly full tank 2 people on board I get 21 mph.

Should be happy whit that speed I have a 24’ with a 250 sho it will top out at 50 mph with me only and a 1/4 tank

Idk if u care to have more speed or not but if u dont care about a warranty send the ECU off and get that 330hp tune on it cost like $800 that will get it rollin

The tach in the video showed 5500 RPM. Turn the front seat around, and fold the back down will help a little. The boat speedo must have a clog on the engine port for the speedo, only showing about 20 mph.

@jamesglavich1426 thank you. Dealer says my throttle was not set correct. Now getting 38 mph at 5800 rppm. We have gps speedometer. I thought most did anymore.

watch out for the top cops! :) awesome trip! love the shot of mt hood. i've seen these barges while trolling out of hewett park towards the dam - they look like an awesome fishing platform, I can see how the state police would feel obliged to target them - something that nice just can't be legal right? :) nice to meet you! will be back soon!

Gps was a better method of speed test. Dont really matter anymore what speed im going. Boat is moored so im sure i collects some debris. 👍👍

I rarely go top speed. Not in a hurry to get anywhere just nice sometimes when we have too many people on the boat

My 2008 Suntracker Party Barge (20 foot) with a 50hp Mercury Outboard will do 20 mph with two people on board. Prop is beat all to hell, too. Give me a 200hp motor with a good prop, and I'm doing at least 70 mph all day long!

Awesome. Very helpful! I also have a Thor Tranquility, going to be adding vantech roof rails to install thule cross bars. Do you know of any way to keep the Thule awning and/or retrofit it so that it can still be mounted? I'm not planning on adding a full rack just the footings and 2 cross bars
