Thanks! It just put down 738 hp at the wheels last week on the dyno! So I’d say the transmission did exactly what it was rated for

Stumbled across this at the perfect time. I've been using a Trend Stealth for a few years and finally run out of my stash of filters, but the new diaphrams and the push-to-test blows the water out of anything I've had previously. I don't really have a need for the full face visor that often, but the half face one is going on the shopping list.

Awesome. I use both depending on the situation. Especially when I’m cutting mdf or spraying Clearcoat.

Pucker up! I can hear you the same with both masks. The rest is just BS. You don't need 180 degree vision to work on things in front of you. It's not like you're going into battle and need to see things coming at you from your peripheral vision. What a coincidence that you have affiliate links in the description. Of course you're going to pretend it's 1000x better.

Nice work! You could probably press those grills with clamps. Just tighten them down in a star pattern like you would a wheel. I was waiting for that MDF to explode under the hitch. Glad it didn’t.
@SOB_Garage23 күн бұрын
Man that’s a great idea with the clamps. I did use 2 layers of mdf top and bottom. I am sure if I had used 3/4” one layer would have worked.

What book it that with the wiring diagrams?
@SOB_GarageАй бұрын
Hey buddy. The book in the video is just the one that came with the painless wiring harness. I used a factory manual for the Camaro switch wiring diagrams but they are backwards wiring. Meaning they use ground as a signal instead of 12v like classic cars do so you need relays. Hope this helps

What/ how do you keep the walls secured from falling over in the trunk? I’m laying out the trunk in my 64 Riv, and was thinking possibly of using magnets. Your trunk looks great
@SOB_Garage2 ай бұрын
Thanks Jason! I used magnets in the last one and didn't really like it even using rare earth magnets. I drilled a hole about 3/8" and insterted on of the tee nuts I added in the description. They are very handy. I love to put them on the backside of stuff also which stops any possibility of them pulling through. If you look real close you can see one in the video. I only used 1 per corner. 2 per corner would be a little better but I couldn't get to another spot to drill once they were in there. Hope that helps.

@SOB_Garage2 ай бұрын
Yeah I put so much work in that and it looked so cool! Thanks for watching the other videos. I couldn’t make the shifter work properly so I had to find a different shifter. I guess I wasted 50 hrs at least with the other console.
@duniet2 ай бұрын
I know how annoying that can be. Why didn’t it work? I am doing the exact same thing in my 78 Camaro but shifter seems to work out🤔
@SOB_Garage2 ай бұрын
@@duniet you must be using a different transmission. I am using a 4l80e and the travel is different.
@duniet2 ай бұрын
@@SOB_Garage your right, mine is the 6l80. If you ever feel like swapping gauge cluster from a gen 5 let me know, I’m working on encrypting all the canbus messages, so I can run a gen 5 gauge without error codes because of missing modules. All you need is a bcm and a few wires :-)

I’d really like to edit the dash in my 1970 El Camino. Can you help point me in the right direction possibly? Just not a fan of the stock sweeping speedometer and instrument cluster in it. Would like to replace it with modern needle gauges and make space in the dash for a modern radio setup.
@SOB_Garage2 ай бұрын
I would measure the gauge holes and try to find some aftermarket gauges that’ll fit right in those holes. I bet you could find some. Basically slide the new gauge in the dash holes and then put the clamp on the backside holding the gauge in. Then you would just hook the new gauges up to the correct new sensors. You could probably do that over a weekend and it would make a dramatic difference.

Hi SOB what do you sand down the engine bay with? After the high build primer. Thanks.

Depends on how it looks. If it will need to be primed again I’d use 220 grit. If it may be the final coat before paint - 400 grit. Does that help?
