Very nice car! I had a similar car here in Norway many years ago. I also have a 1991 Soarer UZZ32, which I imported from Japan MANY years ago! I actually have a 2-seater "sofa", in the office, set up with 2 2.5TT chairs! A GT-T and an electric chair from GT-TL :) Greetings Pål ( Paul )

This is the car i used to have this car back in my 20s. Same color, but aftermarket wheels, suspension, exhaust, steering wheel, and a nice turbo tach to give it the perfect understated sport look. Good times.

I own a 1996 Toyota soarer also pear white and it is no where near as clean as this one. This soarer is mint. Even the door cards are good from what I could see, both my drivers and passenger side door cards have the typical split down the middle right near the window. This car is beautiful

House money
@muntee332 жыл бұрын
I think an ex-pat could buy these SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than what we pay here, or even what they export market sellers and/or auction houses sell them for. *Mine was bought as a 'daily' from the local market by a English teacher I knew. Who then imported it as a 'personal import' when he moved back home. And then I stumbled across it being up for sale when he decided to move back again. And I can tell you, he paid a fraction of what they are advertised as. *It did cost him all the fees and headaches of importing and compliancing it himself, and back when this was all fairly new, but it still worked out cheaper overall. And he ended up with a car with more goodies than your 'normal' JDM import, and with all the goodies STILL on it by the time he got his hands back on it. He also ended up with a car that had spent very little time in the salt air on the docks, and had NEVER been picked up with questionable methods like a large forklift picking up/moving cars by putting the fork tyne's directly under the chassis beams, or by putting slings through the open windows. (This DOES happen, and more than U think, check under your new import for marking under the body on the main chassis beams which indicates it may have been lifted with this method. And if so, check ALL seams where body seams, especially where pqnels are bonded with adhesives or spot welds that have large spacing between centres. This is even more important where body sections are critical stress points and panels are in a 'double ply' configuration as any movement in these areas causes not only the chassis rigidity to become compromised, but for corrosion to enter into areas which can be extremely difficult and cost prohibitive to repair.) Trust me, there would be JDM examples on the local market which are 25%-50% less expensive than what an exporter/importer will advertise. Eg: When the R35 GTR was $140-$170K AUD here, a second hand example was selling in Japan for the equivalent price of $80K AUD. (@ 1ST 1/4 of 2022, AUD / USD = $0.70 - $0.80c AUD / $1 USD. Or, $1 USD = $1.2 - $1.3 AUD) The key is, buying through someone who is knowledgeable, dependable, reliable and trustworthy, and doesn't rely on buying/selling cars for a living. Because you can't blame them for trying to earn a living but you are paying them a considerable percentage of the overall cost to simply make the process easier and convenient for yourself. (And paying your fair share to cover the costs of the various 'financial instruments' the government slaps on the business sector, as a means of discouraging it from further growth...) *It's a harder import path to take with much less opportunity for flexibility, frought with risk of poor deals/management that can have significant, adverse financial implications... But for the people fortunate enough to be in a position to choose an alternative, and who are disciplined enough to put in the effort beforehand and not rush ANY point of the process because of emotion or impatience, it is a MUCH better option. Especially with the way prices are trending.... In summary, I wonder what these JDM examples are ACTUALLY worth? * These yards are most probably yards that have necessary/advantageous accreditation for the export market sellers and therefore are not frequented by locals, who can buy the same car/model (without certified export grading/compliance papers) at a significantly reduced price through 'local' sellers/channels.

@@Evolution246 Any half decent car is 'house DEPOSIT money' Dunno where you're from and/or what houses there are worth, but here... Houses are still 2x-3x R34GTR's. (And much, MUCH more in the Nation's 'economic-hub' capital cities.) But DEPOSIT money? Most new twin cab 4x4's are 'house money' Even one SINGLE new saloon car or SUV is 1/2 a house deposit. Get the house first... But then a choice will always have to be made between a second property or something else, be it investments, business venture(s), childrens education, etc etc OR fullfilling a passion by purchasing a toy, pursuing an interest, traveling, etc etc. *Of course these things are house money... If not buying one, then modifying and/or maintaining one, after purchasing it, certainly adds up to 'house money' Don't be like me and purchase one on finance, while on 1st year apprenticeship wages, and trying to keep a roof over my head, and also pursue a road racing hobby... lol. Get the first house, WAIT, get the business, then get the business up and running to the point you have to do something about tax costs, THEN, buy one as a means of 'beating the man' SO It's not that it's 'house money' (All toys and/or hobbies = house money) It's that it amounts to 'business money' As in, you could get a business venture (mostly) started for the same cost. *And that business venture could end up not only paying for the house, but financing the toy/hobby. FYI Median house prices here (cheap region of a cheap state) begin at $350K AUD and run to $800K-$900K, with a decent percentage of the market going MUCH higher. And the major capital cities START around the $800K mark. So an R34 GT-R isn't quite 'house money' YET
