@MultiPure4UКүн бұрын
I don't know if it's the most addictive thing or not, but I do know that if you have a sugar craving, it could be because you are dehydrated and need a glass of water.

But which one is safer to drink? Bottled water or tap water?
@MultiPure4U2 күн бұрын
Depends on your municipal water supplier, but tap water has stricter regulations that are strictly enforced, typically making it a safer bet. And if you have an NSF Certified point-of-use water filter, then that tap water coming from a municipal supplier will definitely be safer (in the USA--this is based on the EPA regulations for tap water). There's also been a lot of research lately into microplastics, and scientists have found large quantities in bottled water: www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-research-matters/plastic-particles-bottled-water

Microplastics are a big problem. Our systems will filter out particles as small as 0.5 microns, which is why carbon block technology is an effective option for reducing microplastics.

@MultiPure4U4 күн бұрын
We sell point-of-use drinking water systems. They are carbon block water filters that take your tap water and directly filter it, that way you don't need to wait for slow gravity fed filters or water filter pitches. We take this science seriously, and all of our systems are NSF Certified for the reduction of more contaminants from your drinking water than most other systems out there.

Has this worked for anyone?
@markw185717 күн бұрын
Worked for me, but only for a couple of months. Just restarted to leak. Purchased the faucet in 2019. CSR said a ceramic disk in the faucet head has been found to be defective, and it slowly wears out. They purchase the part from an NSF certified vendor in CA. It has been redesigned after much arguing between MP and the vendor. She said they won't know if the fix is in for another few years to see if the problem reasserts itself. If the redo (per video) I'm going to do doesn't work, I'll buy the newer model from MP. Rep said I could also find a non-MP one at my local hardware store, but MP demands the highest quality, such as the entire unit must be made of stainless steel. Haven't priced a non-MP faucet, but may look into it depending on how much I can save. I searched hi and low to find this video as I had found it easy before. No dice this time; finally called MP since I thought I might just need a new washer or something. They sent me the link. Have to add that somehow, MP needs to make this video easier to find. A YT search would not bring it up. It really need to be retitled.

@@markw1857 Thanks for the info. Helps to have more background. I followed the instructions in the video and tried over and over to fix. Never worked. MP email support in response said the warranty was for one year, and I could buy another from MP or buy from another manufacturer. That was it. Have purchased from another manufacturer that has NSF cert. I was planning to upgrade to the higher level MP system when my current filters expire. Have had one positive experience with MP support staff but mostly negative. Always wondered how they could stay in business when having a bad website and angry support staff. But I loved and trusted the water filtration system so dealt with the poor quality web info and customer facing staff. Now am looking for another manufacturer after more than a decade of using MP. If they can’t produce a faucet that lasts more than a year, and have such dismissive support staff (telling me to buy from someone else!?) then why should I even trust their water filtration system?

Not a comment about the video! But a comment about the design! Multipure should remember and take into account the aging of the world and design their faucets so the entire filter assembly and the shut-off valve can be lifted out from under and shut off without crawling

My town recently starting pumping the waters full of chlorine, whats the safe levels to be consuming if thats the case? Ive heard theyre pumping 25+ % into the waters at least and my water smells and tastes like a freahly filled pool and it has been causing people break outs and medical issues (usually people that are allergic but none the less it makes me concerned about the levels in the water)
@MultiPure4UАй бұрын
Chlorine levels up to 4 milligrams per liter are considered safe. Many water suppliers add additional chlorine during the warmer summer months to help combat the additional bacteria/microorganism growth in the warmer pipes. While chlorine may cause some issues, especially to those who are sensitive to it, it is definitely better to have it than to not have it. I'd recommend looking up your local water quality report so you can see exactly what's in your drinking water: www.epa.gov/ccr

Sensitivity to chlorine can be a problem. This is where a point-of-use water filtration system comes into play.

Will it filter micro plastics?
@SofkanatorАй бұрын
Yeah, 98% of microplastics are bigger than 1 micrometer.
@MultiPure4UАй бұрын
That's a great question! Since microplastics are generally classified as plastic particles from around 5 millimeters down to 1 micrometer (aka micron), our filters will be able to remove them from your water. Our filters are certified by the NSF under standard 401 which covers emerging compounds, which include microplastics, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and insecticides. These NSF Certifications are not easy to obtain and hold on to, and we take them very seriously. You can read more about them here: www.multipure.com/purely-social/science/nsf-water-filtration-certifications/
