When I deep condition I put on a plastic cap and add heat using the dryer. *Would you say steaming gives better results than a plastic cap + heat?* If your answer to that question is “yes,” *do you think a handheld steamer works as well as a hooded steamer that you sit under?*

I think of steaming as a treatment. So I wouldn’t use a steamer to deep condition every wash day. I would do it once or twice a month, depending on how often you wash your hair. I think whether you use a hooded or handheld steamer is a personal preference. Handheld, you can be more intentional and get every strand. If you sit underneath a hooded steamer, you get the treatment longer

I know what you mean about the slip not being there I think for us coarse surface texture girlies wont see that benefit but the definition on you is 🔥. I saw someone else add the crazy sexy curl on top of chief rocka and got a better hold!

I Love the wash-and-go🥰 method, but it looks like your hair is dry. I would probably rub oil into it or try a leave-in moisturizer.

My hair doesn’t feel dry. Adding an oil or a leave in will take away from the hold
