Hello! I make rosaries and I use the exact same process except I use the other method of squishing the crimp bead! Do you know if the bracelets you made durable and strong or is it pretty decent in endurance?

This is the video I needed to see before I went to the store and bought "crimp bead covers" which were, in fact, this style of product and not the covers I needed at all. :/

Thank you so much. This video helped a lot. I cut a necklace that i had as a kid since i outgrew it, and i bought a kit from Michael's to make it. They mislabeled it as a snapclasp, but this video showed up in Google images, The thing is, now i need glue

So you absolutely have to use the tweezers when doing this? You can't just tie an overhand knot and pull? l've never done this before but I'm in the process of learning thank you!!
@fireflycarrboro2 ай бұрын
No, you don't absolutely have to use them. You can knot by hand. I've found that the tweezers help many people get nice, precise knots though compared to hand-knotting, so that's why I teach it this way. Best of luck! I find knotting to be very relaxing once you get that hang of it.

You're my favourite person right now, this is the best demonstration I've seen on how to do this. I do a really bad job of it normally, going to try again, can't thank you enough... You rock

Fun fact from a shark scientist and paleontologist for anyone who's interested: Many people will think the big tooth came from Otodus megalodon, but it's actually not! It's most likely from a shark species called Otodus angustidens! Though it is possible that it was from Otodus chubutensis, I believe it's angustidens. You can tell it's not a meg tooth from the cusp on the side by the root :)

I'm using a size 10 Griffin Silk thread and am wondering if there is a French Wire that is large enough ? Any idea. I ordered a 1mm French wire which seems tiny. It definitely will not allow my thread trough. Any help appreciated. Great video.
@fireflycarrboro4 ай бұрын
Size 10 Griffin should work on "extra heavy" french wire.

Which brand of pliers are you using? Thank you
@fireflycarrboro4 ай бұрын
firefly-carrboro.myshopify.com/collections/tools/products/standard-crimping-pliers I'm using the pliers we sell here at Firefly Carrboro - from The Beadsmith. They work with 2x2mm tubular or round crimps.

Where did you buy your fabric stretch cord and the beads
@fireflycarrboro4 ай бұрын
I did not buy these beads, but was repairing a piece for a customer. The cord I'm using is 1mm stretch cord with a fabric coating. I can't remember this specific brand since I've had the spool forever, but I'm sure Amazon would carry it. Again, this one in the video is 1mm in thickness.

Thank you for explaining so clearly. I am so happy that I found your channel.

Love the video. Why do you double up the cord? Does this hinder the way the beads slide?
