200% Shock Value never forgotten of the hypnotic opening the Tranquil illusion using a harp instrument smooth into jazzy Rheumatic Disco pace. I always imagined being in a classic opera music house the orchestra is opening with this song in stiff starch Tuxedos and the breaks into a disco rhythm

Well, I was 15 when I did this mix and it took me like 4 or 5 months, so, couple years ago i start doing beats and mixes just for fun in my laptop and i found this 70s and 80s music multitracks and stems so i dig in it and start listening to this songs because i liked this youtube channels were they analyse the individual tracks of the song and what they have to sound really good, so, i downloaded cakewalk and saw videos about mixing a read articles about the technics and what kind of processing engineers used (like the outboard gear used, eq, comp, etc). So in the first things of the mix that i do was to clean up tracks because all together have to much noise and bleed that the tape machine might have produced and adjusted EQ of the tracks and then start adding like comp, reverb and level all the tracks and work in the arrangement like the intro harps (3 different tracks) with the jazzy stuff, the organ, the little synth that is in the middle of the song, brass tracks, the final fade out with the strings, a synth bass that is buried in the mix, using automation on some tracks like the voices because in the raw multitracks the intro have some dialogue that in the final mix is cut off and just before the fade out the main principal voices have some odd dialogue, off course this is an instrumental and there are no voices (like 9 tracks), but i think that help the explanation of how i did this mix that obviously is not the same as the original because listening back to this it have a lot of compression and doesn't have a great dynamic range like the original but i just did it like some type of remix or rework and like i said in the beginning for fun. Finally, thanks for your time and thanks for listening. (For those who like reading right now I'm working in a new mix of this song because the old laptop that i used burned off and i lost all the things i use to have there.) (sorry for my english)

Quincy Jones took Phil Spector's (and others) idea of the "Wall Of Sound" to a whole new level! Everything is in its place, nothing superfluous, despite its complexity. Thanks again for a great upload!
