Guys, don’t be naive. They will enforce a return to work policy in the future or you will be laid off…and it’s legal. Working from home isn’t profitable to companies because productivity has plummeted. The vast majority of employees are being lazy, working side hustles or just not working at all on company time.
@sashofcl22 күн бұрын
It’s already happening. Has nothing to do with productivity and everything to do with real estate, leasing costs, and control. You can be working remotely and getting more done compared to the person that goes to work and wastes time talking about their dog to the person beside them for 2 hours. Not all company hours are productive hours.

Recruiters say they don’t have an issue messaging them if you are actually trying to solve their problem of filling a position. So apply for the job, then seek out the recruiter and let them know you apply and give them a mini summary of your qualifications. If you are messaging the recruiter and you aren’t qualified for the job or asking if they have jobs or something not related to again the position you are trying to fill, then you are wasting their time.
@sashofcl26 күн бұрын
Perfectly said. If your profile fits the job description + you’ve applied, you can make the recruiter’s life easier by highlighting your experience and directly reaching out to them. The caveat to this is many other qualified people will also be doing the same thing.
@user-yg1dg6xm2g26 күн бұрын
It sounds like common sense not to message recruiters on LinkedIn, simply because it must be annoying for them.

Hey! Wow, your insights are incredibly valuable! 🙌 Your experience really shines through, and I’m excited to try out the advice you shared. Quick question: What’s the most effective way to implement the strategy you mentioned for getting noticed by the right person? I also wanted to thank you for your response to my previous comment. I applied your advice, and it’s been a game-changer! You've literally changed my life. 🌟 I’ve sent you a DM on KZbin (using the same picture as my profile here) and would love to share my story with you. I’m very interested in learning more about your services, especially coaching. Your expertise is impressive, and I’m considering working with you. Thanks again for everything!
@sashofcl26 күн бұрын
Hey Rahof, that’s incredible I’m glad you’re implementing what you’ve learned! 💪 To answer your question, the BEST way to get noticed by them is to make sure you are directly emailing them + having a follow-up sequence in-place if they don’t answer immediately. Tools like Hunter.io, RocketReach and other email finder tools can help you with this. Everyone checks their inbox, make sure you are in there.

What you actually need is to be desireable. If you dont have the skills experience and education it doesnt matter how many hiring managers you talk to. Its a saturated market, if youre not top 10% youre not getting that job. So the real questiin is why is the economy on such a decline to the point where the supply of workers has outpaced demand so much
@sashofcl26 күн бұрын
Most people don’t get the chance to showcase their skills, experience, and education because their application gets rejected by software where they’re competing with thousands. If you’re not getting face-to-face interaction with someone that can potentially hire you, you’re on the losing end.

I started my own roadside assistance company. it's independant work, I spend a lot of time by myelf but love meeting the random people I do. I've met movie stars, illuminati, drug dealers, porn stars, made life long friends, met the perfect girl (twice)..... It challenges me, suprises me, dissapoints me, entertains me and gives me a reason to keep going every day. Everybody is always happy to see me and I quite literally get paid to help people that are having a really bad day, upset, panicked or sometimes just... you know.... It's about the most awesome thing ever.

Id argue a few things 1. The time spent not actively commuting shouldnt count, it happens either way 2. The only money you can actually subtract is the money you spend commuting that you no longer spend commuting 3. There is a definite difference between The 77/115k and the 100k in that it can be hard to actually materialize that $50 an hour outside of your day job. Often you wont actually be making that rate, so it should certainly be noted that you actually just have less money, but also discount the Time Value.
@sashofclАй бұрын
1. Agreed, only variable that’s different is commuting. 2. In this scenario commuting = 2 hours. 2 hours * 250 working days * $50/hr = $25,000 $115k (promotion) - $25,000 = 90k This is less than your remote salary at 100k Remote working is still at a higher value 3. You’re not going to be making $50/hour explicitly outside of work. But if people acted like they did, they would be focusing on the highest leverage activities in their life (which isn’t realistic, but something to aim for). People are not going to be making that rate because you have to also factor in leisure.
@AvejitaOsitoАй бұрын
id add to that, that the quality of food and sleep that you get working from home adds to your overall quality of life immeasurably, working while rested and having fresh meals makes me personally much more productive and positive at work
@sashofclАй бұрын
Fully agree with this. Can’t count the amount of times I would eat out when I was in the office. Spending money on food when you’re there adds up and is a completely different expense that I forgot to mention. Quality of food definitely matters
@bkhleungАй бұрын
I'd probably calculate it this way: WFH: $100k/year Promotion: $115k/year For most people, it is about whether they value the $15k/year or (assuming 40hr weeks and 52 weeks) $7.21/hr more than the 2-4hrs back and forth to the office 1-4 days a week. An economist will probably measure the marginal utility of time and/or opportunity cost of that time. So, for people who can do a side hustle, the opportunity cost can be as high as their salary (i.e. the $50/hr figure you used in this example). Then, it'll make sense to wfh and not take the promotion. But yea, this is nothing new. Still enjoyed the video, though!

This is fantastic 🔥 another way of looking at it
@777777PhilippАй бұрын
Technically, I think you should include only commute hours. You still need to have shower and breakfast in the morning even if you work from home.

100%, that remains a constant in either scenario
@bkhleungАй бұрын
showering and breakfast if you wfh... debatable... haha 🤣

@@sashofcl but if commuting time really small, this math isn’t working. In some cases there are many perks in the office that can save your money. For example, food or gym. So commuting to the workplace is just one small part of all of this
@rkbelmont1138Ай бұрын
You do those on working hours
@sashofclАй бұрын
@@777777PhilippSure, there’s nuances to this but idk anyone that gets served food and works out at their office everyday. Not speaking to the minority of companies that provide these perks. I’m speaking to the majority of companies that don’t
@zilvarro5766Ай бұрын
The point stands, but I think there is a mistake in the calculation. You counted the preparation time twice to end up at the 60k difference. You can EITHER add the saved time value to the remote work scenario OR subtract the additional time from the office scenario, but NOT BOTH.
@charlesa1234Ай бұрын
He was right, You get promoted on onsite you will get 115,000 then subtract the hours.. you will get 77k versus u work from home and get 100k plus u saved the hours which you can use elsewhere. Subtract u get 60k

I don’t enjoy sales, but I know 2-3 INFJ’s online that do. I can somewhat enjoy it, if I’m selling a product I believe in, or 1 that genuinely helps people. My current career path’s counseling, but I’ve also thrived in music & education. Specifically, as a composer, performer & a private guitar teacher. I’ve also worked as a TA in the Sociology dept. and a student advisor in the Counseling & School Psych dept. I’m a bit more introverted than other INFJ’s though, because I’m an enneagram 5 & I’m older.

This is pretty cliché and bad advice to be honest The advice sounds great on paper Do any of the stuff will be to potential retaliation and your firing In the off chance that it does work good for you But the best way to get an increase in salary is to get a new job. You’ve gotten at least two years of experience maybe even less if you’re lucky Loyalty does not pay , and advice like this is generally cliché But it sounds good on paper and it makes for good video
