Chet Bulger, a member of the 1947 Championship team (Auburn University alum) was a long time History instructor at De La Salle Institute on Chicago's Southside just a few block from where the team once played, Comisky Park.

My great Uncle Jack Grangle played for 1923 Chicago Cardinals team Would you have access to a roster pic or film of that team? I think he played for Illinois and coached at Missouri.

Interesting video but it seems to leave out a lot of actual playing history. After the Chicago era players names were never mentioned. Even though they have lost more than they have won many great players have passed through their rosters. And some good coaches as well who for some reason don't get mentioned.

Find A. New hobby you used such a bad example.Let's talking about the 725 pound bench press.He did on tape.
@FootballAncestry
@FootballAncestry Ай бұрын
I enjoy this hobby, so I don’t think I will. I’m seeing he benched 700 pounds, not 725, regardless it’s impressive. I also don’t see why I can’t also talk about his showcase at the pro bowl. Both are examples of his insane strength, it’s not mutually exclusive. Additionally I chose to talk about his pro bowl performance because I originally released this short during last year’s pro bowl. So I won’t find a new hobby and this example is just fine. Have a good day

You missed one on the Lombardi coaching tree, Lombardi hired former Iowa coach Jerry Burns as his defensive backs coach. He then was Bud Grant's offensive coordinator with the Minnesota Vikings before he took over the coaching reins. He would coach Minnesota for six years compiling a 52-43 records before retiring. Lombardi hired Burns after he had coached Iowa to a 1-10 record in his final season and kept him around until he moved on to the Redskins.

I'm foolish for the Cardinals (well, at least it isn't a woman) but I think the Pottsville Maroons won that title. Playing those Notre Dame crew messed them up. But, as this video mentions, there was a lot of barnstorming back then, to promote the new league. Lots of people back then played for the love of the game.

Sid Gillman was a genius when it came to football! Many times I saw his San Diego Chargers come to Kansas City to play the Chiefs and the passing game (John Hadl to Lance Alworth, Gary Garrison and many others) was a treat to watch. Kansas City always had a pretty strong defense, so the matchup of the Chargers offense vs the KC defense was worth the admission price. Gillman understood strengths and weaknesses of defenses and called plays accordingly. Those games were always fun to watch. Long Live the AFL!

Dang good for Arthur Smith. He must have the skills of Grimma Wormtongue from lord of the rings to survive 3 head coaching changes. If he coaches people on how to do that hell be much more successful than he'll ever be in the NFL

If you get 15 years of good consistent play from a player or coach that's 100 percent worth it no matter the position. 20 plus years of great production like what you got with belichek is worth multiple 1st. Im a lions fan. If we could have drafted rookie Jason Hanson this year at 29 id trade that for terrion Arnold, the best CB in the draft who they did take. I feel consistency is very underrated and underappreciated in the nfl. There's a reason it was near automatic that the AFC North was sending 3 of the 6 teams to the playoffs every other year through 2010s. I feel like people are going to try tearing down belicheks legacy and say he was only good because of Brady. Well he was also GM. And no one survives in the nfl as anything and especially head coach for 24 years unless they are special

The sweet success that is perfection‼️ Of course they're the greatest team ever‼️‼️ If another team ever has a perfect season, then we'll discuss which team is #1, but don't hold your breath 🌬‼️And furthermore, Shula is the best coach EVER, and Csonka is the best fullback ever‼️ And one more thing, when The Orange Bowl was sold out and rockin', The Dolphins and/or The Hurricanes always had the BEST home field advantage, bar none‼️‼️🇺🇸🏈🐬🌪🍊
