How can the strings of his guitar withstand such playing?! They should've come off before he started.

The part from 3:57 strongly reminds me of Daft Punk Aerodynamic, but to put this on an acustic: AMAZING

tommy...hope you don't mind, but ny granddaughter's name "norah lana" fits the meter perfectly so when I play this in public I take a few liberties

Such a beautiful song. Maybe one day I’ll be able to play it like this, with ease and fluidity, I’ll just keep plugging.

OMG! So expressive! So pitch perfect on the guitar! The melody sings! Music about our memories of love are just the best! Tommy, thank you for sharing your gift with the world!! I didn’t know there were words to this song, but now we know some. Perhaps as Angelina grew up, you added verses along the way? It is such a privilege to have children to love. Yup, I’m also a Dad.

This feels like the best recording of this song to me. I love the dreamy reverb of the concert hall.

Me too. This kind of reverb works with an acoustic performance so beautifully.

Отличная идея спеть в начале,Томми молодец,но было бы отлично сделать студийную запись с профессиональным певцом,чтобы слушалось это гармонично

Very good - but I agree that the martial beat could have been left out. With this, one of my favorite tunes, less is more. I love it best when Tommy and Hos do it on their own.

Mr. Emanuel is of course a maestro-- but-- this is a tune that is not in any way a place to promote and showboat. It was written to emote pathos. The drums with their martial beat and the head shaking of Mr Emanuel as he hits a high note would much better be left to another tune. The lovely notes of this wonderfully written song are to be gently rendered, not flung out and squeezed like a pop song.

I kinda understand what you mean. Personally I have no relationship to this song, but I think I know what you're getting at. This was the first and only time I've seen Tommy with a band, and it was a bit too much in my opinion. It sounded more like 'any' band and it didn't have that special character that he has when he's on his own. This is just my personal opinion of course, but I'd much rather see Tommy alone on stage than with a 'noisy' band.
