The fault was both? or just the fan?

@@olivermoreno98 It was the fan, but I had to replace the resistor because it was frayed.

Yes, the lights turn on after I press the brakes to start the car.

Hey! Do these light turn on when you press brake pedal for the first time after start? You can try to replace your brake light sensor, it is pretty cheap and easy to replace
