Great job, Marc. In my Miami days, I got to sit in Studio A at Criteria with Tom Dowd, where Layla was cut. We talked for an hour or so. 4 of us total. Talk about stories. He was a Tasmanian devil. Full tilt. Learned his first release was a version of "Momma's Little Baby Loves Shortnin' Bread". I remember seeing a huge black Bosendorfer in the back of the studio and I never asked if that was the piano they cut Jim's part on. It was a memorable day to say the least. Bobby Whitlock lives in Austin and played clubs here with his wife for years, but haven't seen him out lately. Be well.....
