Man, the guitars are far too loud. Just drowning out the drums. Hard to really get an idea of the kits when its overtaken by guitars.

great video, super!!! thanks! I used to play fender and gibson, had over 12 guitars. Now, I only have one. and it‘s enough. But the one and only is a custom 24. I wanted a 2nd. Thought about fame or a se, but the playability is not to compare. By the way, I sold all guitars to afford the cu24! 2nd best choice of my life!

The titan sounded the most aggressive in the mix and dark matter 2 sounded the least noisy outside of the mix, as in the most clear. I own a dominion and love it. It sounds really twangy here which is a good thing not a bad thing.

@@MassiveSoundProductions I like dimarzios in general. I was a Duncan player for a long time but dimarzio is much better. I should put a different dimarzio in each one of my guitars honestly. Have you tried the fortitude yet?

@@zyxwfish Not yet unfortunately. But I have a custom guitar in the making which will have the fortitude pickups installed. From how it reads it should be a nice alternative

bro, seems really Smolski was based on Powerball 2, right? also other people feel this. can we get close sound by using some pedals like Precision drive with Powerball 2? what u think?
@MassiveSoundProductions2 ай бұрын
Yes, the Smolski is based on the Powerball with a different Mid voicing (Smolski like to have lots of Mids 😅). An EQ pedal would probably best to dial in the Smolski sound IMO

5:02 nazgul vs 5:23 black winter 5:44 nazgul vs 6:05 black winter 6:27 nazgul vs 6:49 black winter 6:35 nazgul vs 6:56 black winter I clearly hear in the second sample that nazgul is much more baritone than black winter. The latter has a slightly bigger low-end (more loud), but at the same slightly lacks in somewhere in mids where nazgul shines, adding more evil sound to it. Both are great and I cannot myself choose which one I prefer. I have just installed nazgul and will try black winter in a few days. But I already think I will want both of them, what a pity. Perhaps, we should have a combo of these two. Aside from the second sample, it is really hard to nitpick the difference.
@KingCrimson82Ай бұрын
exactly well spotted, for what i wanted, better tripplet, more crsip, the black winter (5:23) would be a tat (almost like a ceramic vs alnico difference) better but in 5:44 aso (wow to the chord attack) it shines. I picked the Nazgul because of my affinity for the name, the look and because it was 30 bugs cheaper on amazon. and still is likely to be crisper than my current dimarzio fred

I've watched hundreds of comparison videos and in this one, they all sound the same to me. Your sound is too dirty and the playing style is too limiting. Clean sounds are definitive, but the gain tone is just too soaked. Maybe you should've included some medium gain, traditional metal or thrash style playing to highlight the actual differences in the pickups. You can probably hear it yourself, but anyone here who says they can hear the difference is probably lying.

Great guitars, I really like the Regius. Comfortable, good resonance, good craftsmanship and setup. I also have some comparable instruments from Jackson, ESP, Kiesel, etc. I'd say my one quibble with the Mayones is the lack of graphite reinforcement rods. Other brands have these, even the recent Chinese Jackson line. They make a big different in stability and I'd take a thicker neck with the graphite anyday.

I have a T/OR in black. Can't say enough about the guitar. This is not the first time I've heard a 060 owner talk about the acoustic sound, which I find interesting because my T/O is very quiet acousticly. That acoustic quietness does not seem to matter much when amplified as it sounds killer. It's hard to explain what the Arium sounds like but I like to think it's sound like a well balanced EQ setting.

It’s funny, I prefer different pickups depending on the riff/style. 2 and 4 really stand out to me overall, but the cleans on 3 and clarity when driven on 1 are excellent. The PRS you’ve got Omega’s in is absolutely stunning by the way!

Just did a quick watch on my phone and boy initially they all sounded the same, but clean sound do differ them as do the full overdriven chords. And finally JB was that familiar sound in a mix. I am sure more nuances will be revealed when I give it a second go with headphones, but just wanted to share my first impression.
