Fantastic stuff, love your footage 👍🏻 I've also never seen so much water & waterfalls here.... Must re-visit during some heavy rainfall. (really enjoyed the audio too). Thanks.

Beautiful landscape. However, it is a bit sad when so many trees have to be cut down because they are damaged.

I think a lot of th trees were harvested as there are many tree plantations here

All of us clan Lamont should come together and get this rebuilt. It’s the least we could do for what our ancestors went through. It would be so cool to have a place to go to be around ancestral family that isn’t a ruin

Can anyone give information i take it the old castle was also called Toward castle. Home too clan lamont hundreds of years ago. But the more modern castle was Kirkman Findlay's Castle an ex Lord Provost of Glasgow and an ex MP all these year's ago. I believe the Coates of paisley also owned this Castle at one time any information would be appreciated.

I too descend from Clan Lamont. Mary Young Lamont is my 8 times great grandmother. I will be making a trip from the US to Scotland this coming September. I would like to visit the ruins of Castle Toward. I know it is south of Dunoon, but is it difficult to get to? Thank you for the wonderful video.

It's easy enough to access. There is another video on my channel showing how to get there and how to get into the underground rooms. Enjoy your visit when it comes!!

Oh no. 🥴 I lost mine about 60 foot up a tree with no way to get it down. 🙄 The things we have to put up with, so let’s hope it makes us pay more attention going forward as can’t afford to keep replacing it lol. 👍

I thought that it was either in the loch or, like yours, stuck up the tree. I was flying over the loch at 12m and thought that be safe enough to risk flying sideways (which I don't normally do) ... how wrong I was :) I got the drone back undamaged fortunately as it fell into some long grass, and I had just enough juice left to use the noise and lights function on Find My Drone (otherwise I'd be struggling to find it in the grass at dusk)
