Thanks for the video! Compared to the 4-52x model this one seems to have a very detailed image. Do you think it's good as a replacement for a traditional scope in the 200-500 yard range in daylight?

@airgunhunteru.k.2600 8 сағат бұрын
It’s absolutely a massive improvement on the 4-52X buddy, the clarity of this scope is amazing even at the ranges your looking for but nothing compares to the clarity of a high end traditional scope so it’s not really a fair comparison. Will it do the job? Yes. Will it be clear? Yes. Will you love it? Absolutely

@@airgunhunteru.k.2600 Thank you for your reassuring response. I have a Bolt Action .308 with a 24" barrel. I thought I would opt for this type of device due to the presence of a ballistic calculator. Considering the cost of the ammunition, I could save myself the entire phase necessary to zero a traditional scope. My doubt concerns precisely this Once I have zeroed the scope at 100 m, will I then be able to have the necessary coverage in the .308 range (200/500 m) ?

@@bikermanfast13 absolutely that’s the amazing thing with this scope and the ballistics calculator, after I had produced the review videos I continued testing pellets for the best 1 for my barrel, I found Crosman Premiers to be the best, I waited for a calm day and did a 25 yard zero, I tuned the bc of the pellet at 50 yards after the zero and got it tuned perfectly. I then shot a 50 yard spinner at 100 yards 4 consecutive times without knowing the holdover by using the ballistics calculator!! It was witnessed and my shooting partner even took a shot at 100 yards using my rifle and also hit the 50mm spinner having never shot my rifle. It’s genuinely a amazing bit of kit and I wouldn’t want to be without mine now

@@airgunhunteru.k.2600 Thank you very much for your very comprehensive answer. I would move away from traditional optics for a variety of reasons, but the primary use would be in daylight, and with .308 ammo of varying weights. The ballistic calculator would be of great help. I would like to ask you a small favor... I would like it if you would post on your channel a daylight recording of your incredible NV400 2-26x50 with objects between 200 and 400/500 meters. It would be very important for me to have an idea of what I would get. Thanks friend!

So broom zooming in on the video, if I’m seeing right you mounted the arca rail to the barrel guard and the barrel guard is no longer mounted to the gun? Did you switch to the aluminum guard or are you out still using the plastic one. ?
@airgunhunteru.k.2600
@airgunhunteru.k.2600 10 күн бұрын
So the Arca mount is attached to the rifle block via the original two holes in the bottom of the block, The hand guard is attached to the Arca rail not the rifle so it drops 10/15mm and everything clears the shroud nicely, I’m using the standard polymer hand guard

All good, except you don't need to take those intermediate shots - just a couple at the end once you've got the BC correct. 1 - Put all your scope height / muzzle velocity etc etc data into the scope 2 - Zero at 25 yards on the bullseye 3 - Move back to 50 yards and, still aiming at the 25yd bullseye, shoot a small group (should obviously hit lower than the 25 yd group) 4 - Now range the bullseye, and see where the scope puts the new aiming point crosshairs 5 - Now, without firing, keep ranging and adjusting the BC until the scope starts putting the new aiming point crosshairs over that 50 yard group. Your BC should now be correct. 6 - Now range and fire at 50 / 25 / 15 / 75 etc yards - you should be spot on at most distances The above should still work if you're using an app and need to adjust the turrets of a conventional scope - you're just changing the BC to accurately get the crosshairs from the zero point to your new POI.

It definitely changes by barrel mate, I tested that recently, it’s a strange but necessary value but it’s individual to the rife and set up and even the environment as you mentioned, it definitely needs to be fine tuned for every rifle

All good knowledge that wayne thankyou. I did a pigeon cull at work on friday and hit 9 out 9, but did notice the longer shots were slightly off the BC aim point. No birds suffered as all were hit cleanly but its the finer details that give you the edge. Ill try what youve suggested and let you know how i fair. Regards again on a great series of videos❤

Another excellent video Wayne, which has a very good explanation of the ballistic coefficient and how it changes the POI. Two questions for you, if you would be kind enough to answer. Is the final part six a night time pest control video? Also, have you affiliated yourself with Oneleaf, so that you get some remuneration for your sterling efforts (it's a small percentage of any sale that goes to you when anyone uses the link and code provided by Oneleaf)? Other reviewers of Oneleaf's products have done, so they're given a code with a discount for prospective buyers of 10%, which usually lasts for a couple of weeks, so it becomes a win win for you, Oneleaf, and your subscriber.😁👍👍👍

Morning mate, The last video (part 6) due for release tomorrow is farmyard Ratting (pest control) at night. This is the third review I have done with OneLeaf, I didn’t activate any affiliation offer with them on the previous two but I have during this review, I think it’s 5% of sales buddy… that genuinely wasn’t my motivation for activating it though, my motivation was the discount code they gave me to give to any potential buyer so they can get a discount

I’ve just purchased 5 tins of hades for pest control (ratting) but like you mentioned with range, I don’t think there suitable for this rifle combo past 40 yards in my case. I’ve also purchased some 20 grain 5.51 slugs apparently good for sub 12 ft lb & some Crosman premiers to try beyond these ranges as the rifle seems to like them.

Excellent quality daytime footage mate. Very much looking forward to seeing the night time stuff! Oneleaf obviously put a tremendous amount of thought into this scope. The menu structure is the best I've seen and is very intuitive. Much talk has been made about the Arken Zulus ( which is without doubt a quality scope) but I like inputting everything through the scope and not messing about with apps and wi-fi etc and also not having to constantly be swapping 18650 batteries in and out like the Zulus.
