I never heard this song until today. I was playing a gig with a fairly new band that myself and some friends who play in different bands put together. The guitarist turned to me and said “just play a train/two step beat”. What a fucking FUN song to play!!!

My first exposure to Brent Mason's music couldn't be more obscure. TNN (The Nashville Network) used this song, Hot Pickin' and others for commercial bumpers on TNN Motorsports broadcasts of NASCAR races, and also NASCAR commercial advertisements in the early to mid 90's.

Of all the singer-songwriter-guitar virtuosos out there: Clapton, Knopfler, Gilmour, Winwood, Prince, Glen Campbell, Roy Clark, Willie Nelson, Neil Young.... Vince Gill is a giant. Superb vocals and picking like no other!!

When it comes to country, few (if any) can match Vince Gill. Crazy chops, both voice and guitar. Have to give a huge shout out to Mr. Paul Franklin on the pedal steel. None better. I'm glad I got to see them play together.
