8:37 Sigourney's heart shaped butt has restored my faith towards wealthy people.

They make Guy an actual character but they make him the security chief 😂 like the only main character to ever get killed off of Star Trek: TNG was the security chief.
@stephengrigg598813 күн бұрын
The fact the "plan" Tim Allen's character comes up with is a ripoff from one of the shows episodes and everyone figures it out is funny on it's own. The random episode he pulls out his butt actually being the one Guy died in his downright hilarious😂

Missing his best line. I know! Construct a weapon. Is there some sort of rudimentary lace?

Three things to note about Guy in this movie. 1. If you look at his uniform, it doesn't match the other characters' uniforms(no custom zipper pull and no chest logo). So it is either homemade or wasn't made well on the show since he was just an extra. 2. Despite constantly being scared of dying, he's the only character on the bridge not shot by Sarris. 3. The implication of him becoming security chief and getting a name makes him think he's safe on the show, but he isn't. That's the same position as Tasha Yar in 'Next Generation' and she was killed off after only 23 episodes.

I didn't catch this before, but "Fleegman (Guy), you set up a perimeter" foreshadows Guy's role as the continued GQ show's security officer. Nice touch!

Great and in the main faithful adaptation from the book. I believe that the only character that was left out was the Black pimp. I wonder if this was cowardice/fear of being called racist.

Well... Is nice to see a charachter that is meant to be a joke, be treated as a joke. Instead of... you know... The Mandarin, or Thor.
@antona.13274 ай бұрын
Except, Justin Hammer isn't supposed to be a joke. Granted, that goes way back to Iron Man 2, but CB Hammer is a heartless, scumy and cold AF dude who would be Iron Man's arch nemesis if the Mandarin didn't exist. Sator in Tenet is how Hammer should be, minus the Russian accent (he's British in the comics).

he based his role of Bill Paxton from Aliens, once you know that, it makes total sense. Sam Rockwell is awesome. ahha

Just saw Aliens for the first time (am insanely obsessed with the first movie, IMO Aliens is very good but doesn't compare... Gwen is a complete departure from Ripley but Sigourney proves herself a hysterically funny comedic actress) and I 100% see that. But IMO Sam is even better. Bill Paxton walked so Sam Rockwell could Olympic sprint.

Bit of trivia: when Rockwell said “Go check out the East warehouse over Lairdman Island” he is referencing American comic book writers Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman who created TMNT

It’s a really great film and seems next to nobody ever saw it. There was a torrent or two back in the day wity director commentary. Back when there was film not digital , these colors pop. It’s a real gritty feel of NYC street life early 90’s just prior to Guiliani cleaning everything up.

In Galaxy Quest, Sam Rockwell's character was useless for 95% of the film except for when the crew went down to the planet where "Guy" pointed out that the seemingly cute denizens of the planet, would get mean somehow, and there would be a million more of them. "Quick! Let's get out of here before one of those things kills guy!" -Gwen DeMarco
