I know it is all about personal preference, but the way you swing your yarn around the hook instead of swinging the tip of the hook to catch the yarn, makes me grind my teeth and twitch my eyelids. XD On a serious note though, do you do it that way because of the way you hold your hook? I have tried to hold my hook like that a couple of times, but it doesn't work for me and I can imagine swinging the hook around the yarn causes great strain on your wrist and such. Just curious.

Nice tutorial. Best to use solid color yarns to teach stitches, not multicolored variegated.

Did you chain 2 on both sides of the shells in the 2nd row or just on the left side of the shells? So pretty. Can't wait to make this. Thanks for sharing!!❤

Is there a specific odd or even count if I want to make my wrap wider

I was excited to do this, but audio kept going out. Specifically, the first row after the chain five. Could've used a little instruction..

hello! sorry, a bit confused. for the last row of the treble st, there are 9 stitches (with the turning chain counting as a st). but when you do the next row of DC, you say there are 17 st, but there are only 16 st if you don't include the turning chain (as stated in your pattern notes). i rewatched & counted as you went along, & you only did 16 stitches. so do the turning chains count as a stitch at this part of the pattern?? thanks!

I’m curious, why do you throw your yarn onto the hook instead of grabbing it with your hook? Isn’t that a n extra step?
@valeriehofmann261519 күн бұрын
Because not everyone can do that. It’s awkward and many people wrap the hook.

Thank you so much for this tutorial, you not only show how to make them but explain the pattern step by step I appreciate it, it makes it so much easier to follow along. I have been searching through KZbin trying to find the pattern I want, and this is the one, I can't wait to try making them. Thank you again and have a great day 😊😊

Would love to do this pattern for a straight rectangle wrap around shawl. Can I start with 50 chains or less.?
@carriematynka49425 ай бұрын
Maybe she’s comfortable doing it that way. To me, it’s like people who crochet with a pencil grip vs a knife grip. I saw a lady do a treble, “wrapping” her hook twice by rolling her hook twice. It’s just the way they are comfortable doing it.

Hi Ashley, nice pattern. One question about the amount of chains at the beginning, it is multiple of 4 +1 right? On the blog you say 4+2, but 61 stitches don't correspond to that count

Thanks so much! I just tried this for the stitch first time using velvet yarn, and I got thrown off by the extra yarn at the front of the row- from the HDC stitch itself. It made it look like there were two different rows to stitch into, and I couldn’t figure out if I was twisting it or not! Seems I was right so thanks :)
