It's amazing that a collie dog can be down-sized, relocate to the Salvation Army for 9 months, and then get an Apartment, in good condition - while "living off" Tim Hortons sausage and egg breakfact meals. Amazing recovery, honestly.

Worked in stelco tower for many years up till late 2018, most of the same stores still there.

I was born in Hamilton and remember when the the Lloyd D Jackson Square was built It was attached to Eatons and had so many fantastic stores. Then Limeridge Mall was built and the game changed completely. Limeridge provided customers with free parking, yet, Jackson Square parking fees remained. Of course everyone flocked to the new mall on the mountain. Why would anyone pay for parking is you can shop for free? I haven't been in Hamilton since 2007. Have they made Jackson Square parking free yet?

There was a cave to the left of the stairs at the top, about 20 Ft. A small path led you to it. you could crawl into the cave but not very far. My twin brother fell from there to the bottom and broke his wrist. Maybe 60 years ago.

I remember in the early 80s when it was carpeted throughout and had that new carpet freshly vaccumed smell and there was a skating rink on the upper level near where the LCBO now is and the mall was full of brand name stores

I worked in a call center in an office tower during the lockdowns in 2020 and 2021. The mall was a very scary place to visit. Lots of locked doors. You had to show ID everywhere. Elevators not working for morning shift. There were a lot of street people in the mall getting into fights with security. Unfortunately Hamilton City Center is now closed for a condo project.

Can you do a walk down Dunsmuir from Reid to Sherman? Or the pipeline that starts at Ottawa and main and ends up at strathbarton mall would be nice to see. I miss home. I havent seen it in a very long time.

AH! I used to live in this area 15 years ago! thanks for the literal walk down memory lane haha. Ray St used to have the bridge from Canada to Hunter at the time and we used to walk down Hunter towards locke to our school which was converted to an apartment complex in 2001

Studebakers were produced in Hamilton. I'm from the town in the US where Studebaker was started. Interesting to see the area.

I found myself in this neighbourhood just the other day and used Delawana Drive to cut across congested Centennial Pkwy to Lake Street. Hope you walk through Riverdale East one day, it looks nice and traffic moves along well.
