Why does Rtotal not include the resistance of the pipe material itself? If it did, it would add ln(Ro/Ri)/(2pi*K*L) to the equation, correct?

This was pretty straight forward. I did this in Uni and already forgot the basics, I think I just blocked it out.

Is there a short cut to this? Or is there a place we can get too and we'd know that its dependent or independent

Is there a difference between Bilinear shape functions and Linear shape functions? The formulas seem to be the same to me...

It's used to represent inverse... without it the matrix is just a normal matrix but once the -1 is there,it becomes an inverse matrix. Hope this helps 😊

Microscopically, the pin is allowing the beam to bend there. Pins do not resist moments and therefore do not have moment reactions

I love this video, I'm my masters degree and forgot some algebra and statistics. Anyways the professor is really poor at teaching. You explain what he tried to explain in two hours in 7 minutes. Great video, just wish you went over subtraction since negative values play different.

Just a question, @2:35 you say that there are dimensions dx, dy, and h. So isn't this really a 3d solid, or is it still a 2d solid?

One thing I struggled with during this tutorial was the difference between matrixes [ ] and vectors [ ] It would have been nice for some mention of the difference between the two (A vector is just a matrix with a single row or column. For those also wondering). Especially because the first google search result says: a vector is an object with both a magnitude and a direction (AKA: an arrow). Which I don't think is related to this in any way. Its not a huge dealbreaker mind you. And I did find this tutorial very helpfull. But worthy of mentioning regardless.
