Nothing sounds like a Detroit 8v71 or 8v92 Just Pure power No other engine can match .. Hell 25 to 30yrs ago that's all you heard was that sound at a fire scene.. This younger Generation of fireman will never experience this sound again Never !

Well said. I was fortunate enough to start out with a company that ran 3 Detroit powered rigs. The older 2 of the 3 were definitely screamers.

Why so many pieces of equipment? Back in 1980's I was a EMT. Had to handle accidents with 2 EMT's & no help. Backwards as I said why can't have a full response. My answer? Letter of reprimand & probation.

@@Everythingguy33yeah somebody is always at 32, and by somebody I mean 5 or more, legit 24/7, then again getting a small commission per call helps with that response participation, same for 11 and 3, I’m envious for sure.
