Wouldn't the curse of the Blades of Chaos be a plothole in GoW 2018?? If the Blades just appear next to him then he didn't need the boat ride home.

I think it's more if he intentionally tries to get rid of them rather than just hiding it under the boards in his house. See the thing this is referring to is a prequel comic where kratos tossed the blades into the ocean, causing a tsunami that spat the blades back out.

The blades of Athena were damaged when Kratos fell into the Styx River, then replaced by the Blades of Exile. When Kratos killed Zeus, the chains on his arms unraveled, which can explain why he can't use the Blades of Exile anymore.

Could be because kratos went against Athena and she returned them to him and cursed him with them to always return to him to torment him with the greatest mistakes of his past e.g killing his family and his service to Ares

He actually threw them in the ocean once, between GoW3 and GoW4 presumably. He later shipwrecked and fell unconscious during, and woke up with them next to him.

I like how we see Kratos as a character and father here. He starts off with wisdom, and then is just honest about them being impossible to get rid of.

The webs dissolve so I don’t think it’ll leave any residue behind. Might leave tiny marks but probably won’t leave any long term damage

I like to think the blades are a representation of kratos past (good and bad). He can't just throw it away, he needs to carry it if he's going to grow.

Sure we can go with that but the true reason is because of his pact with Ares so the chains pretty much is bound to him and will always teleport back to his side no matter what he does.

I have this theory where the Blades are actually demonic/satanic weapons that is forever attached to the users once the chains seered to them like a demonic contract. I was remembering how David Jaffe had plans to reveal that the Christian myth was the source of every myth that existed before it, as in the source of primordial and that Kratos' would eventually melt the Blades to turn it into a scythe that would eventually earn him the name as Death or the Grim Reaper. I have to wonder if Cory decided to bring back this plan.

There is so much customization possibilities that I’m changing outfits combos every 30 minutes and it’s get annoying compare to the other game that I stayed with the same outfit because all the other ones were ugly

I feel that man 😂 I’ve actually found one combo fit that I might main until I find more cosmetics cuz im not too far in the story but I went with the wanderer jacket, outrider shirt and pants shown in that second last animation😄 wanted him to kinda match the sentinels in a way hence the yellow lightsaber but the jacket was to add some minimalism to him so kinda look like he’s the last sentinel in hiding or whatever but that’s just my imagination 😂

The craziest showing of this is when I believe in a comic or novel, it’s shown/explained Kratos tried to dump the Blades into the ocean. Doing so causes a tsunami that knocked Kratos out cold and when he woke up, the sea had split the Blades out, where they were the first thing he saw after regaining consciousness.
