Fantastic video, as a proud Welshman and a huge Public Service Broadcasting fan it's great to get this behind the scenes insight! You closed the Caerphilly castle show masterfully. That was a great evening! I hope you feel PSB paid respect to our history and the legacy of our forefathers.

We sang this chant in church...same music, different words..."By Christ redeemed, in Christ restored, we keep the memory adored, and show the death of our dear Lord..until He come"

41 years my dad went down the pit. Hewed coal from the bowels of the earth with a pick axe, a lamp in his helmet his only light and his lunch in a tin shaped like the bread he ate. Today the young folks work when they feel like it, they don't care about a job well done. May god help them if they had to go through a depression.

I was on leave from the R.N.at ny parents in a little slate mining village called Aberllefenni, not far from Machynlleth. It's basically just one row of terraced houses opposite the mill. It was about 0930 and the travelling library had called & I was in it , talking to the driver when I heard this almighty screaming. It was like nothing I had heard before or since.I shot out af the van to see my mother and the rest of the mothers all in a huddle screaming and crying. It was so unreal. I shouted to my mother in Welsh. Be uffern chi'n neud? What the hell are you doing? Then she told me.The scene is with me every anniversary

This is lovely. I have only recently discovered this hymn, and have listened to many of the renditions available on KZbin. I think this is the best of the lot.
