Not sure what that guy to the right is talking about, but bron and AD didn't have a 3rd star when they won the bubble championship. They don't need a 3rd star. They need reliable role players.

Sean, Love you, but NO! At this time, not long after this video dropped, TWolves beat Denver. The Bubble Championship, and the Minnesota, are enough proof, beyond the obvious, that SIZE MATTERS. Trae is tiny and would get destroyed by not only the Nuggets, but the TWolves and Kings as well. Remember Schroder getting reduced to nothing, same happened to Gabe Vincent. The second he came on the floor is when Murray, who had been cold up to that point, went on a heater, and just easily shot over Vincent. Not only is Trae shorter, but his defensive rating is atrocious. It's worse than DLo! TWO of the Laker losses to Denver were by only TWO points. Last season, the point differential was also low. Lakers proved that offense wasn't the big need. SIZE DEFENSE and REBOUNDING were everything. That game 1 Nuggets loss to Minnesota, further supports this. Defense won it. It was NOT a high scoring game. Lakers have had enough 1sided players. NO TO Tiny Trae. STOP asking AD to compensate, that puts way too much work on him.

You see him get dunked on by Murray? You see all the big shots Murray made when it mattered most? AD was clearly hurting in the 4th -- LeBron knew he had to dig down deep in the altitude, and while it's commendable -- he still lost. Long live the GLOAT

Agreed 100%. Rant justified....but here we are, so as much as I hated the move, it was (IMO), the worst of 2 "win/win" choices. It has the possibility to be good for both Justin and the Bears if all goes well. But when you pass on the potential draft capital that you could've gained (for trading the #1 pick) while already having a young, exceptionally talented player at QB in the building under contract and you choose to give him away for a handshake and a bag of skittles, only to start over & draft another young QB, YOU BETTER BE RIGHT! Hopefully Caleb, who also is exceptionally talented, can win over the entire fanbase and lead this franchise to greatness for the next decade or more because that's the ONLY thing that would justify this move. We'll see........

So, my thoughts were to trade with NE or Wash for the pick get MHJr, and a #1 next year (possibly 26 too). Then give Justin one last chance with a ton of talent around him. Then if he plays well you got your QB1 with draft capital to continue to build. If he doesn’t play well then you don’t resign him. Now you have the draft picks to trade up or stay put and get Brock out of Georgia who I think will be a better QB than Williams. Just my opinion.

I get the whole trading him for a "6th" round pick deal...I get it. But what I don't get is you people talking about Justin as if he was a great quarterback. He definitely ran the ball well for a quarterback, but as far as the actual quarterbacking ....nah, he did not have it. His accuracy and vision of the field where seriously lacking. I have watched several breakdowns of him playing and everyone is quick to point out all the open receivers he did not throw the ball to, which often led to him scrambling and making plays with his feet. All of the weapons in the world won't help if the quarterback won't throw it to the open man. And I did not even need to watch breakdowns by other people...I literally watched it every Sunday he played. Justin is a great kid and has potential, but Poles was never going to marry himself to a guy that he did not draft and with those types of issues.

Bears had to do it once they decided they wanted to draft Caleb Williams. You cant bring in a young QB to be in the locker room with the incumbent young QB who is popular in the locker room. It would cause divided loyalties and tear your locker room apart. You have to have everyone on the same page, and the best way to do that is to trade him asap and give people like yourself time to wrap your head around it.

No they won't. 10-28, 0-6 against the Packers, 175 yards average per game? Yeah, he's an elite rusher but that's not enough. Its a passing league. Elite quarterbacks make everyone around them better and not the other way around- look what Jordan Love and CJ Stroud are doing. Can you name any of their WRs? Neither can I. Both went to the playoffs on account of their spectacular play. Mahomes just won a super bowl with maybe the worst WR cast in history. Adding more weapons to Justin fields isn't going to change the fact he can't read a defense, holds the ball too long and can't find open guys except DJ Moore on a good day. The only thing Justin has proven is inconsistency, that's why NO ONE wanted him and they were lucky to get a 6th rounder for him. What does that tell you? Anyways, Caleb Williams is going to be great. Everyone can see it except trolls on Bears twitter who push false narratives to make themselves feel better. Sorry, but the Bears have proven time and time again you can't win unless you have an elite passing quarterback. Great defenses over the years, great running backs, but no quarterback. Time to chase greatness

It’s always funny when people say “Elite QBs make everyone around them better” but then ignore Caleb’s regression in 2023 and break out the excuses for why that happened, it’s the team around hims’ fault. Even tho he is the second coming, and should be “elevating everyone around him”.
@CubsFan2812
@CubsFan2812 Ай бұрын
@PhysicalFortitude Caleb wasn't as successful as he was in 2022 but he STILL had 3600 yards, 30 touchdown passes and only 5 interceptions. The difference is is Caleb can still play at an elite level with no talent around him. Justin Fields can't because no amount of talent surrounding him can make up for his limitations and lack of quarterback skills. Caleb's pocket presence is miles better. I'm sorry but Caleb is superior in every possible way. He just is. Caleb's worst season is probably still better than Justin Fields best season

Doubt it. For one (pls read this whole sentence) the trade details are immaterial when judging if Fields is or was talented enough to stay as starter. Also, him being starter was not decided in a vacuum. If Chicago didn't have the number one pick, I think he'd still be starting. I don't think Poles wanted to pass on two Number one QBs in a row, pay Justin big money and still wonder if he's the GUY (tm). I don't blame him if so.

It isn't about the money, cause the bears could have simply held on to fields and if he did bad release him next year. A 6th 😂. With all of the hype Caleb's expectation is much higher. He has to hit at least 30 passing tds, say 8 ints max and 4k passing yards especially with this type of offense. Fields would have been in the same boat but hes now in Pitt. Bears might be still doing the qb carousel....
