my friends little brother said poppy playtime is scarier than this, I am disappointed.

I think up until this very moment in the whole series it's felt like harmless fun and games between kids but right at 1:57 up until the end of the series it's like no more games we could all die if we're not careful

just imagine playing this in 3 AM, lights are all off, everyone fell asleep. as soon as you finish it, you hear a knock on the your bedroom door, you want to answer it but scared, and it starts calling out your name, you hiding in the closet, while it slowly opens the door, you suddenly see a black lurking figure walk around your room, your scared and try to breath quietly and you accidentaly make a noise, the creature stares at you, slowly walking towards the closet, your panicing and the lurking figure opens the closet.

The moral; the happiness and warmth of our friends and family can overcome existential dread.

That giygas guy needs a therapist

Kinda glad I never played this as a kid. I love horror now and this still makes my eyes water. As a kid, this would have traumatized me for years. This is one of my favorite examples of cosmic horror I've seen in a game and honestly I think it works so well because of the limitations of the snes at the time. It leaves more to the imagination which is appropriate because Giygas' form and nature cannot truly be grasped.

The scary thing is the fact that Ness barely wins. He literally needed divine intervention from the player

The Children then Prayed to Countryside Onett, Polestar Preschool, The Academy and the Dai-llam palace, when suddenly, Giygas got disintegrated like static, saving Everyone’s lives through the powers of 4 young men.
