Frankie Valli is not singing lead on this...just the chorus. So many better choices available that actually feature his voice.

Just newly discovered you, Nick. I must commend you and your reactionary style...I simply adore you! You convey precisely how I am feeling, with your facial expressions and powerful emoting without any interruption to the performance we are watching and listening to! It is brilliant! Sadly, every other reaction channel creator I've seen, constantly interjects throughout the performance, interrupting ,which detracts from the overall feel and vibe of the music!!!! You allow us to experience without interruption, yet we can feel your vibe shine through! Thank you!!!!!

One of my favorite songs. This resonates strongly today as it did so many years ago when she first sang it. Thank you for your reaction.

Nick, just ponder the talent those of my generation grew up with, talent without techno enhancement, pure, sublime, emotional..I do not know where to start, but just on the female side of it, the list of stunning voices we grew up with is almost not fair to this and other generations. Just think of this list, Linda here, Karen Carpenter, Cher, Marilyn McCoo, Gladys Knight, Roberta Flack, Helen Reddy, Olivia Newton-John, Melissa Manchester, Donna Summer, Aretha, Carole King, Cass Elliott, Dolly, and on and on and on. An embarrassment of talent and tunes. Again, that is just on the female side....

Home Free existed years before Pentatonix. Early 2000's but I don't remember the exact date. They did win the Sing Off a couple years after PTX. Which likely helped put them in the spotlight more.

I love their evolution over the years but in some ways i miss the simplicity of their early work. They were learning their sound and creating it organically without a micromanaging label. Thats why i think theyre so above all other acapella groups, they literally invented themselves kn youtube diy and single handedly made acapella main stream again. No matter where you stand on ptx or homefree or voiceplay or voctave, none of them would have found an audience without pentatonix. Boys 2 men was before them but they werent considered acapella at the time. It was more a pop/ r & b group who could sing acapella. Ptx is acapella who csn sing rock, jazz, classical, rap, r & b, soul, country, gospel...and with.a cello.

I used to just adore Josh Groban but the disgraceful showing he made trying to support Kamala Harris just absolutely turned my stomach. I was so sad that Josh was doing that and it has forever change the way I see him no matter how good he sings and I absolutely used to adore the way he sang and I listen to all his stuff. now I can't listen without hearing him talking with that group of white men for kamala. such BS. So sad that he brought that to his plate in such a public way. He could have supported her in his private life and that's his business but when he made it so public, then it became a part of reasoning of his character. Smh

You should listen to the Andrews Sisters - Boogie Woogie bugle boy from the 1940's. That was definitely the "inspiration" for the song as well as the video😉

Such a great version. They were so young but still amazing. There are some really good unfiltered fan cam versions of recent concert performances that show off their incredible sound today. They are worth checking out. I live them live because they are that good. Everybody gets pitch corrected these days and layered in studio versions so it’s such a treat to hear them live.

I always assumed that this song was about the young man losing his virginity in a random hookup. If it was written to be a more innocent interaction with a young lady, I suppose that's just my dirty mind at work. But the lyrics really tend to support my theory since he "never even knew her name" and that he "would never be the same" after the "sweet surrender" which "seemed so wrong but now it seems so right". Oh, and the repeated exclamation "Oh, WHAT A NIGHT!!" LOL.

I am sure we have all been there. It makes me think of someone I loved back in the 90's; but he didn't love me. Someone I thought I would marry, but he didn't. This brought a little bit of that sadness back again.
