@@karsonknudsen just trying to figure out wth is happening in this lil film. He's mad his ex got engaged, he destroys his own property in a rage because of that and then a friend invites him to a party but his friend claims it's the wrong house but later acts as if he really IS in the house calling him from inside the house. Then dude gets eaten. ? I don't understand the ending or the point. that's all.

@@TruthSurge totally understand where you’re coming from. This film isn’t meant to be taken at face value. I guess to sum it up, it’s about losing yourself chasing a past relationship.

@@karsonknudsen oh. So the tooth thing was ... why tooth? i mean, she took more than a tooth, right? I guess I didn't see why the tooth had more significance and what that meant. thx for the replies!!!

For the normal viewer who doesn't care about the filming techniques, it's just another useless short film that doesn't tie anything together at the end.

I adore the directing in this, it's some of the most interesting I've seen. The clear focus on travis and how the music changes depending on his mood really influences the feeling of the film. The pan out from the party has to be my favorite shot because it encapsulates the exact feeling of being trapped inside your own mind and being too occupied to interact with others. I also love the sound design of the whispers and gargled sppech in the theater and the seamless transition from the call with the friend being normal turning into a creepy documentation of Travis' exact location. I look forward to more work of yours.

This was pretty good! The location was awesome, especially that bug curtain with the lights behind it was very creative. Sound recording was superb, as well as the harmonies. That was sad how his wife died at 21. I kinda dont get the milk story element though. Just that it made me want oreos.
@karsonknudsen
@karsonknudsen 3 ай бұрын
The milk is a physical representation of a couple things. So this film was made from a prompt given to us for a 48 hour film festival. In the prompt, you had to show the passing of time, but without using a clock. So we opted for a glass of milk. But the milk itself is a metaphor for Daniel’s trauma. At the beginning of the film, he is told to drink the milk by The Milk Man; I.e a physical form of trauma. He must look within himself and face his past traumas with his father, deceased wife, and lastly himself. By the end of the film, the milk is gone, therefore he can start the process of finding love again. Hopefully that all makes sense. Thank you for the kind words!

It is neat he went into a room that was in the frame in the wall he saw at the beginning. I originally thought he was somehow going to jump into the frame where his wife was and that would be the reason to leave he was looking for.
