This is my first exposure to Deep Rock Galactic, but this sounds really familiar. I can't quite put my finger on it though. Is there a similar BGM in another game anyone can think of?

@DoofXMachina3 күн бұрын
Absolutely not. There is no fomo in the game. It's like 30 dollars for the game and you get everything, not counting dlc armor sets (which are not needed at all) You can load up any battlepass, any time. All the same skins and weapons and armors. A thriving community. You've missed out on nothing my friend, and if you decided to give the game a shot, we welcome you with open arms

Had this kick in right after taking out a dreadnought in a massive open cave on Crystalline Caverns. Looking at the destruction we wrought as the dreadnought carcass faded away. "You were just defending your home. I get it. You fought well."

"Fathomless Tomb" is such a great name for this piece. It's a tomb, but there's no end to it. You can enter as deep as you wish, maybe even find something valuable. But it is a tomb. Something about it is beautiful, but haunting. It gets my heart racing like no other music does. It tells me "this will be your final resting place when you've reached the end of yourself. You will know peace." And the will to live inside me recoils from that. Great work, GSG.

Was doing a deep scan mission for my gunner promotion assignment, except it was a slightly longer one than usual where you needed to do 5 deep scans. Me and 3 other people spent about an hour in a giant dark salt cave. I think about halfway through we eventually regrouped somewhere in the middle in a medium sized open area, and Fathomless Tomb kicked in. There were absolutely no mobs or any sounds around anywhere, just the sound of our footsteps, some flares and complete darkness. We were either about to be ambushed from all sides by monsters lurking in the shadows, or we were completely and utterly alone down there, and I didn't know which terrified me more. What an atmosphere, what a game.

Fathomless Tomb is a Masterpiece of an ambient track. It's the background sound when you take a moment to rest,to remember what you have done, and contemplate what you will do next. You start to ask yorself why, then stat to think about how you got here. then, you remember an old memory you cherished long ago. You start to appreciate the time you had with friends and family. You rest and think for a while, and eventually, at long last, you thank yourself for holding on to the good memories, then you slowly start to continue the task at hand, a little happier, a little sadder, a little more content, and finish your work. Today has been a good day, and tomorrow is looking brighter then it did. Rock And Stone miners.
