Invasive pain in the ass service. Expect to turn your home upside down and be gone for hours at a time. Then you'll have to come home and clean up after words. This only gets better, you'll have to do this two more times. When Harbour Freight carriers a bug bomb that does the whole thing in one shot without having to make your home look like a crime scene to achieve it. Someone is severely milking this job at that rate. Orkin has become a real #2 in my book.

No wonder customers are still having issues with bedbugs after this company comes and treats, you have to leave the house heated and closed up for at least 6-8 hours after the house has been heated up
@chriscruz270 Жыл бұрын
No you don't ..... once the heat is kicked off it cools down and anything below 130° is not going to kill bedbugs anymore

As a former Orkin Pest Pro I refuse the Practice of heat because it destroys structures. Heat can not heat up cracks and voids in concrete slabs where bed bugs run to during the gradual accelerated heat. Forcing more bed bug infestations to spread through the walls. ANd Orkin uses a 3 rd party to perform the task and so do other companies. Warping walls and drying out your lumber in the walls making them ideal for termite and other wood destroying pests doesn't sound beneficial. Orkin always taught us to consider any application closely and make sure we are not creating another open door for claims and other infestations. Insurance claims go unpaid when the company your suing for damages goes out of business so remember that before considering. IPM is a better and most common sense approach.

Do books and comics survive against heat treatment?
@jerryvance90242 жыл бұрын
No, pheromone trails left by bed bugs will contaminate the paper and attract new introductions. Seal them up if they are collector items for at least 12 months.

I was trained by an operator who was trained by Orkin 14 years ago and for some years. Orkin does a great job I have to admit it. And for any small business pest professional ready to go independent it is very recommended that you learn something from this company and folks

I know your comment is 4 years old but I'm currently having a bed bug issue and decided to look at orkins reviews, after the tech heated up your house how long did the tech keep the house closed off for the heat to work because in order for heat treatment to work the house has to be heated and closed off for at least 6-8 hours, I've had this treatment done twice in two different houses and never had an issue with bed bugs after the first treatment sounds like your tech didn't let the house stay heated long enough

LOL, you guys make wayyyyyyyyy too much of a big deal out of it. We buy Termidor SC from Ebay for our restaurant and spray it twice a year in our place and roaches are 100% eliminated. Only ridiculous laws make Termidor an "outdoor" insecticide only. But as business owners we can use it however we wish and you know for a fact it beats baits and inspections ten fold and poses zero danger to the public. Fipronil all the way!!!
