Hey there! I'm starting out as a writer and have a few questions and confusions. One question I have is how to do ranking keyword analysis of competitors via free tools? Are free tools as effective as premium ones? The other confusion is about making a portfolio. Since creating a website at this stage is too difficult for me, so I'm going for a portfolio-building platform. Is LinkedIn enough to post sample articles, or some other platforms are going to be more advantageous? Is one platform enough and more beneficial, or do we need to create profiles on multiple platforms? What would be the sample posting strategies for all the platforms? I mean, do I need to upload a full sample on one platform and a glimpse of that sample on another, or a completely different article/sample on another platform? Please guide me through the portfolio-building process that explains each and every step clearly. I want to go for free methods right now. Apologies if my questions are too basic and obvious. I'm an absolute beginner and I came across many confusions in my freelance writing pursuit.

What is your job? What writing are you doing? In other words, what exactly do you do? All these build-your-own-business commercials never say WHAT the person who paid money to take a course DOES. Why?

My why would be security, as a millennial who hasn’t always followed the path laid out for my generation, I tend to see the world a little differently. I grew up with that midwestern values mindset watching my parents bust their butts for us to still be broke at the end of the day. While I have a very good 9-5 with a great company, I enjoy writing more than your average blue collar rural midwestern. So if I can do something I enjoy and it pays? Why not? It’s added security for my growing family and let’s face it, if I ever find myself in a bind it beats the crap out of bailing hay :)

Hey Sean, it's great to see this video from you. I purchased Location Rebel for several reasons, and you are one of them! It did seem that as I was going through the course, we didn't see you as much. You later mentioned in a video that you were going through some business changes. So with this announcement, I am a little confused. With a new Location Rebel and price of $499, can you go deeper into how it is different than the one already purchased? I thought additions would be part of our original purchase price. If I am wrong about that, do we need to buy the new course in order to stay updated with what you are teaching and sharing on KZbin?
