That is the best footage of a freshwater mussel that I have ever seen! I fish sugar creek all the time and do really well, including that stretch in the video. Live creek chubs, lipless cranks fished very aggressively and texas rigged powerbait creature hawgs are the ticket. I also tie sauger jigs with squirrel fur that i do really well with in sugar creek. When fishing with them, i tip them with chroma glow crappie nipps and i use 10lb fluorocarbon. Not only because sugar creek can be really clear, but also in case the sauger or walleye get the jig all the way in their mouth, they don't cut the fluoro if it drags across their teeth

Can be tacky until fully dry. Just stick it into so foam or cork until it's completely dry.

I've found certain super glues can. Personally I use some of the loon flex seal stuff

I mean yeah it can, but we are not tying these flies to last eternity. The fish usually destroy them before the super glue does.

If the trees don't eat my flies or the bottom snagging them, the fish tear through them before any issues with the Super glue.

Hey Man, where in Florida are you, I have only fished saltwater there but I live in Texas and do more bass and saltwater fishing here. As far as the leader goes I would shorten it to about 2 feet so that when you cast it doesn't have to go through as many eyes if any at all. Not to self-promote but I have some vids on my channel if you want to see some of my catches. I might make a video like this except my friends will make fun of me for it because none of them like fishing.

Hey, I’m fishing up in North Florida. So similar style of fresh water fishing that you would get to parts of Texas. The leader is that long because my braid is orange and I need the distance to separate from that obnoxious color 😂 As for making fishing videos, just get out there and fish and have fun. So what if your friends pick at you for it. If they really are your friends then they will support you and even may come fish with you, but go give it a try and have fun with it!

Hey Coltin, rock climbing with a fly rod, wow. You're going to need some patches on those waders. Way to get to the unmolested trout. I just got back from a 3 day Lake Erie trip. We brought home about 50 lbs of walleye. Starting bowhunting Friday . We have bad EHD in Porter County this year. I guess we'll find out how hard my spot got hit. Love your channel. Uncle Dan

There is nothing like catching two to three lb. Smallmouth all morning or late afternoon long. When your elbow and forearm are sore. It’s been a great day.

2mm craft foam cut using the template. Hook: Mustad #34011 size 2. (Can use hooks from size 2 to 4/0) Thread: 6/0 color of choice. For larger flies use larger thread. Tail: bucktail in color of choice. Super glue gel. Glitter nail polish
